Bogatyanovsky grapes: variety description, photos and reviews

The Bogatyanovsky grapes are a new hybrid, developed by the famous amateur breeder Viktor Nikolaevich Krainov. At present, along with other high-yielding and unpretentious varieties, it is unusually popular with domestic gardeners.

Grapes Bogatyanovsky: description

This table hybride was obtained by crossing varieties Kishmish Radiant and Talisman. Its main distinguishing features include:

  • Productivity. From one vine it is possible to collect up to 15 kg of berries.
  • Frost resistance. Easily transfers the lowered temperatures to -24 о С (without shelter). However, since in the winter in the central strip of Russia there are also more severe frosts, it is still necessary to insulate the vine in autumn.
  • Uncomplicated. Cuttings are taken just fine. Not afraid of drought.
  • Good ripeness of shoots.
  • A small number of stepchildren.
  • Excellent survival rate.
  • Great force of shoot growth.
  • Good compatibility with rootstocks.

The maturation of this hybrid is early or medium. 125-130 days pass from the beginning of the bud opening till the harvest. In the middle zone of Russia , Bogatyanovsky's vine ripens around mid-September.

Bunch description

Perhaps the greatest advantage of grapes of this variety are large bunches and berries. The size of the latter can reach 4 cm in length (with egg-shaped form). Groats Bogatyanovskogo have an average density. Flowers on the vines blossom in mid-June. Variety of grapes Bogatyanovsky - a two-sex, and therefore very well pollinated. In grown bunches, there is no beetle. The weight of one brush can reach a kilogram or more. Some bunches gain weight and up to 2.5 kg.

The berries of Bogatyanovsky have a greenish-yellow color, and after full ripening - milky-golden. Their taste qualities are simply excellent: juicy pulp with sourness and thin eaten skin. The merits of berries of this variety can be attributed to the fact that they almost never crack. If damage of this kind occurs on them, the wounds tighten very quickly, without any consequences.

Transportability with Bogatyanovsky is good. However, for very long distances harvesting is not recommended. The flesh of the berries of this hybrid is not too dense. This, perhaps, is the only drawback that has Bogatyanovsky grapes (a photo of grapes can be seen on the page). In general, domestic gardeners, this hybrid is praised and believe that it is consistent with the manufacturer's declared qualities.

Resistance to diseases

The merits of the hybrid Bogatyanovsky include, among other things, that he is not afraid of the most common fungal and bacterial diseases. Its resistance to mildew, for example, is 3 points, to the oidium - 3.5 points. Virtually never struck Bogatyanovsky and gray rot. Of course, like any other, this variety requires periodic preventive spraying.

Responses of gardeners

Domestic gardeners consider the Bogatyanovsky grapes to be one of the best varieties for today. The size of the berries of this hybrid does not leave anyone indifferent. Very good holiday gardeners who grow this culture, respond and about its taste. A fragrant, tender, sweet flesh with sourness is liked by adults and children alike. Many summer residents use berries of this sort for making wine. I like Bogatyanovsky and those owners of suburban areas that grow grapes for sale. In the market, the impressive bunches of this hybrid differ simply "with a bang."

Not a bad opinion among gardeners has developed and relatively unpretentious of this variety. He not only tolerates the winter well - his kidneys still do not freeze during recurrent frosts in the spring. The berries of Bogatyanovsky, among other things, are almost never damaged by wasps. Care of the vines is no different from caring for any other varieties. In general, Bogatyanovsky's vine reviews deserved - and quite reasonably - quite good.

Where can I buy

As already mentioned, Bogatianovsky refers to hybrids of people's selection. It was brought out by VN Krainov, a well-known viticulturist in our country. This gardener lives in the Novocherkassk region. They sell their derived grape varieties mainly in specialized online stores. The cost of a single cuttings of cottagers is estimated as rather low. 800 rubles - the price, which in most cases will have to pay for the seedling of such a garden plant, like Bogatyanovsky grapes. The description of the variety was given above. Excellent characteristics of this hybrid, such a cost of cuttings justify.

Prevention of grape diseases

In order to grow a good harvest of the hybrid Bogatyanovsky, it is necessary to prevent fungal and bacterial diseases. The best way to prevent grapevine infections is the usual 3% Bordeaux fluid. Experienced summer residents are advised to make it yourself. Acquired drug is not so effective. Make the Bordeaux liquid as follows:

  • In an enamel or plastic container (it is impossible to take galvanized steel), 5 liters of water are poured.
  • Diluted in it 300 g of copper sulfate.
  • 5 liters of water are also poured into another bowl.
  • Diluted in it 300 g of freshly lime.
  • Mix both solutions.

Check the quality of the resulting Bordeaux liquid can be very simple. To do this, it should be omitted the usual metal nail. Copper should not settle on it. If this happens, a little more lime should be added to the liquid.

Processing the cultivar Bogatyanovsky as follows:

  • The liquid is filtered through a strainer and poured into a sprayer.
  • In windless weather, the vines are processed so that the liquid covers all of their parts, including leaves, trunks and sprouts.

Grapes are sprayed with Bordeaux liquids, usually once a year - in the spring, immediately after the shelter is removed from the plants.

Trimming

Grapes Bogatyanovsky (photos clearly show heavy brushes) has such a feature as the propensity to overload the fruit bearing. Therefore, the owners of the vines of this variety will have to cut their eyes every year in the amount of 10-20 pieces. This operation is carried out in autumn, before the shelter of grapes for the winter. Grapes pruning in a ring method, as it is done in the formation of bushes of other fruit and berry crops, is impossible. Be sure to leave at least a small stump. The fact is that the wounds do not overgrow the wounds, but simply dry up. Perform pruning with a qualitative pruner with sharp blades.

As you can see, Bogatyanovsky grapes are very unpretentious and yielding. If you follow the rules of growing and proper care, you can diversify your menu with tasty and useful aromatic berries or even earn some money by selling some of the grown bunches on the market.
