Blue Lakes near Kiev: a brief description

The location of Kiev is unique not only because of its green landscape. Separate interest deserves numerous Kiev rivers, artificial ponds and natural reservoirs. The blue lakes near Kiev are intriguing and fascinating. Of course, you can not wait to visit these interesting places. They, undoubtedly, are a landmark of the city, therefore attract not only the local population, but also tourists from different corners of the planet.

Lakes of Kiev

Quite large lakes near Kiev are on the left bank of the Dnieper. Among them, such as Tyagle, Martyshev, Nebrizh and Redkino. The length of these reservoirs is about one and a half kilometers. Their main difference is immaculately clean water. The uniqueness of the lakes is also the fact that many representatives of the fauna are found here. The water is very transparent, which allows you to see floating fish. Near these lakes there are good conditions for recreation, and inveterate fishermen can enjoy fishing.

A small characteristic

In the village of Podgortsy, which is located not far from the city of Kiev, there is a lake, which the people called the Blue. The name is it got fairly fair, because the water in it is actually practically transparent in color. In the depth of the lake near Kiev reach up to 8 meters. The magnificent sandy beach is not equipped with resting facilities, it can be called "wild", but from this the surroundings of the lake become even more beautiful and picturesque.

Meadow Lake

Lake Lugovoe stands out among all the special beauty. Its banks are impressed by the nobility of the pines and oaks that grow here. This is the smallest lake from the Opechen system located in Obolon. It is located between the streets Bogatyrskaya and Lugovoi, from the side of the industrial zone.

Central Lake

It is impossible to bypass the White, or Central, lake in the center of Obolon. It is quite deep and large, it can even be seen from the nearest houses. It is interesting that the lake has both a sandy beach and a zone covered with vegetation. It is located in the quarter center, in the middle of the streets of Marshal Timoshenko and Heroes of the Dnieper.

Obolon in the south-west is surrounded by a string of reservoirs forming a system of lakes called Opechen. In ancient times it was in this place that the Pochayna stream flowed. Before the construction of the quarter, they took land for construction. As a result, the river turned into lakes. On the territory of the water area are green plantations, surrounded by footpaths. The water here is quite cold, crystal clear, for which the reservoir is replenished with the list of the best water bodies in Ukraine. The blue lakes near Kiev are great places to relax.

Blue lake

In the southern outskirts of Pushcha Voditsa there is a dead-end Lake Blue. Of all the watersheds in Kiev, it is the largest. It is located between the river valleys of the Dnieper and Irpeni on a flat plain. Its length is about 700 meters, width - about 200, area - 15 hectares. It is absorbed by groundwater, as well as by atmospheric precipitation. In this lake there are such fish as perch, pike, roach, crucian, top, pinewood, rudd.

Diamond Lake

Diamond (or Forest) is an artificial lake in the Desniansky district of the city, located between Pukhovskaya Street, Lesnoy Cemetery and TPP-6. The reservoir is one of the largest in the city in terms of water surface area and volume. In some places the lake reaches in depth about 35 meters. It arose in the first half of the 1980s on the site of a small peat bog, in connection with an alluvial sand for the Vygurovschina-Troyeshchina inhabited area.

Like other blue lakes near Kiev, this is a flowing one. In the north, a forest stream flows into it, and in the west it is connected to a group of Vygurovsky reservoirs. The water vegetation is represented mainly by reeds ordinary, cattail shrivel and broad-leaved cattail. In the lake there are about 10 species of fish. Near the water is a pine forest.

Sunny lake

The solar lake is located between the streets Dragomanova, Zdolbunovskaya and Revutskogo. Some blue lakes near Kiev (photo is available in the article), like the Solar Pond, are artificial quarries created during the construction of a residential area. On the shores of the lake there is a recreation area, a beach.
