Belt crochet: a scheme and description of a practical and beautiful product

Knitting belts - this is one of the most popular activities among the wizards, owning a crochet. The use of various techniques allows you to create rigid and dense accessories with a long service life.

In this article interesting crocheted crocheted belts with diagrams and descriptions are suggested, some of them perform an exclusively decorative function, others with success can replace a regular belt.

What yarn is suitable for making a belt

When choosing a material, you should be guided by the appointment of the future product. Below you can see different crochet belts, charts and description, photos and even a master class. In this case, the appearance and scope of each of these items are completely different.

Narrow band-laces, as well as openwork belts are often used to decorate wide tunics or dresses. For these products, you can safely use absolutely any yarn. The main thing is that in color and texture it corresponds to the rest of the wardrobe.

Different kinds of cotton, linen, viscose, wool, microfibre, polyamide and even acrylic will be appropriate here. However, with acrylic it is necessary to be more cautious, as many products connected from this material, look frankly cheap.

To make a wide and tight belt crocheted, the outline and description of which include some solid pattern, you will need a hard cotton or linen thread. Sometimes a decent appearance can be achieved using a polyamide or microfiber, but in this case the binding must be very dense.

Narrow crocheted belt: diagram and description

The photograph below shows the sequence of manufacturing the simplest belt. The material will need a little, about 10 grams. The thread should be fairly thick, at least 200 m / 100 grams.

Even with minimal knitting skills, you can make such a belt crochet. The layout and description of the product are extremely simple:

  1. Link a chain of four air loops (VP).
  2. In the second loop, tie 5 posts without a crochet (STBN).
  3. In the last loop perform 1 stbN.
  4. Turn the canvas and tie one lift loop.
  5. In the second STN, tie 5 STBN, then in the 3rd STBN perform another STN.
  6. Turn the work and repeat the sequence described in the 4th and 5th points.

The cord of the required length is supplied with strings - and that's it, the product is ready! In fact, this is the most primitive and elementary ribbon lace. All other patterns are designed in the same way, but contain a much larger number of rows.

Stitches can be just threads, chains of air loops or even decorative ribbons. For their weighting on the ends recommend to sew beads.

Openwork belt from the motives of the crochet: diagrams and description

This model has always been popular for a very long time. For its production, several identical or different fragments are knit, which are then joined into a tape.

For sure, every knitter has a favorite round or square piece that she can perform literally with her eyes closed, it is quite suitable for such a product as a crocheted belt. A diagram and a description of one of the motives are set forth below.

To begin with, you need to bind a chain of 6 VIs and close it in a ring, then perform the following actions:

  1. 4 VP, a magnificent column of 3 columns with a crochet (STN), 5 VP, * a lush column of 4 STN, 5 VP *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.
  2. * 5 VP, 3 GP with common vertex, peak of 3 VP, 3 GP with common vertex, 5 VP, STBN *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

The resulting flower has six peaks, it is very convenient for making an equal belt (two peaks on each side are connected with a second flower, two remain on top and bottom). Such belts are needed to emphasize the waist.

A good example of a simple flower. Being bound from a very thick yarn, it will become an excellent decoration for many dresses.

If the product is planned to be worn on the hips, it is advisable to select the pentagonal motifs. They need to be combined so that the belt is semi-circular.

Tight belt for jeans

The next version of knitted belts is designed to perform a practical function: they are tucked into the loops of trousers and skirts.

Of course, the canvas of such products must be very rigid, otherwise it will stretch and there will be no sense in it. As already mentioned above, cotton, linen, polyamide and wool are optimal.

The thickness of the thread is not less than 180-200 m / 100 g, the mating is very tight. To achieve sufficient density, you can use a smaller hook than the one recommended for the selected yarn (for example, not No. 4,5, but No. 3).

Secrets of tight knitting

The pattern can be simple columns without a crochet or the most basic ornaments. If the selected thread is not rigid enough, you can apply the following method:

  1. Blend the row of StBN.
  2. Turn the canvas and perform another row, tying the newly formed STN. That is, each of them will be double.
  3. Repeat the algorithm in paragraphs 1 and 2.

This method is also good for the manufacture of cap visors, fields of hats and collars-racks.
