Arrangement of the water supply well: the scheme, instruction and operating principle

Arrangement of a well in a summer residence is an excellent alternative to central water supply. Why this method should be given preference?

  • It will be possible to avoid bureaucracy.
  • Expended water does not have to be paid.
  • The water quality will be high.
  • Water from the tap will flow even if the water pipe is repaired.

Pros of well water supply

The arrangement of the well has a number of advantages:

  • Small cash costs for organizing a water supply system from a well compared to drilling a sand or artesian well;
  • Unified execution of installation works;
  • No need to obtain permission from official authorities;
  • Long term use of the system.

Arrangement of the well is best entrusted to the professional, since if you decide to erect such a structure on your own, then in the future many problems may arise:

  • In the spring, meltwater can get into the well. This happens because of improper installation of rings of concrete.
  • The flow of low quality water due to the wrong choice of the site of the construction of the well.
  • An improperly chosen location can also lead to an imbalance of groundwater that will rise to the surface and make the nearby marshy soil, and also wash the foundation of the house.

The scheme of well water supply of a country house

After the location of the well is selected, it is necessary to decide what components the future system will be assembled from. The main elements can be described as:

  • storage tank;
  • The relay for pressure of water;
  • Accumulation tank;
  • Water accumulators;
  • Pumping stations and other devices for lifting water;
  • Pipes of water supply network.

Arrangement of the well does not require the purchase of expensive equipment. In the role of a pump, an outdoor model can perform. However, the level of its effectiveness depends on the distance from the well to the house. The closer the system is to the structure, the better will be the water.

For the construction of a water supply system, it is better to resort to the use of pipes made of plastic or metal-plastic. Pipes made of steel are prone to oxidation and rusting. This will spoil the taste of water and change its color.

How to choose the right materials for the well?

The construction of a dacha well requires the strengthening of its walls. To this end, various materials are used. The main ones are:

  • Wood;
  • Rings of concrete;
  • brick;
  • natural stone.

If the choice fell on wood, then it is better to give preference to moisture-resistant rocks. For example, an excellent choice will be oak or pine. In this case, the taste of water will improve. For example, when using pine logs, water acquires a pleasant taste of needles.

The most economical option is to equip a well based on rings of concrete or brick. But if unreinforced concrete is used, the rings will begin to crumble. The expensive way is to strengthen the walls of the mine with a stone.

Arrangement of a well in the country depends on the taste of the owner. Often used log log, which is covered with a roof of boards. This performance is characterized by practicality. The log house can become an excellent element of landscape design.

Conducting water from the well to the house

In order for the well water system to be of high efficiency and last long, it is necessary to correctly determine the location of the future well. For this purpose a frame (vine) is used, with the help of which a geodetic analysis is carried out.

When the place is selected, then you can proceed with the selection of the land. In such a process, as well construction, wells, as a rule, are pulled out manually. Digging out the ground is an important stage of installing the well. The life of the source depends on this process. The process requires some physical preparation.

You can use technology. But even the most advanced excavators are not able to excavate a pit deeper than 5 m. In addition, the powerful impact of the bucket of the machine provokes a violation of the density of the walls. Also, the use of an excavator requires significant monetary investment. Therefore, manual labor is more often used.

The formation of a typical well model is carried out using concrete rings. The mine is digested to the required depth. Then one of the reinforced concrete elements is lowered into it. Preliminary it is necessary to be convinced of quality of rings. They should consist of a homogeneous material, have the same size, do not contain cracks. In the process of penetration it is necessary to check the dimensions of the rings and the diameter of the shaft. Verticality is maintained using a plumb line.

Each water supply system assumes the formation of a source. It can be excavated at any time of the year. But in the spring we do not recommend this, because you can make mistakes with finding underground streams.

How to automate the pumping of water from a well?

If the water supply of the country house is automated, then you do not have to run to the well with buckets all the time. For the purpose of automation, specialized equipment is used. The main component is the pump. His device has a number of design features. For example, it is equipped with a float switch and a strainer at the inlet. Also, the electrical device must be protected from penetration of water into it.

Usually two types of pumps are used:

  • With an installed grille at the entrance. Usually it is mounted with a hanging method, which is a good solution for the bottom, which is full of silt.
  • With a support fixed to the bottom of the closed tank.

The process of erecting a well is divided into a number of stages. Arrangement of wells with their own hands could well be carried out. The involvement of an experienced master is required when choosing the location of the well and conducting electrical work.

Having prepared the necessary tools and materials, and also having got acquainted with the recommendations of the people who are well-versed in this matter, it is possible to provide a country house with a water supply system.

What do you need to build a well?

  • Pump. Its choice depends on the depth of the well and the volume of water supplied. A deep submersible model proved to be very good.
  • Pressure switch. This appliance serves to turn off the pump after reaching a certain pressure level. The shutdown is carried out at an automated level in accordance with the selected parameters.
  • Check valve. This device serves to maintain the required level of pressure in the pump and prevent the outflow of water into the well.
  • A set of pipes.
  • Fasteners.
  • Corners.

How to organize water supply?

The main stages of the construction of the well of water supply include the following:

  • Initially, you should dig a trench from the well to the house. Its depth depends on the freezing of the earth in this area. It must be at least 1 m. At the bottom of the well is a hole. This work is done with a sledgehammer. Then the gap is filled with solution.
  • Further it is necessary to lower in a well a flexible hose or a pipe. Previously, it is screwed to the pump together with a check valve. The depth should be the same as the usual water intake (depending on the terrain).
  • In the trench lies a pipe made of plastic and a cable for the pump. Usually the length of the cable is 40 m. If its length is insufficient, the missing centimeters are added by extension. This procedure is carried out taking into account that the contractor is familiar with the rules of electricity supply.
  • After the pipe and cable are laid, you can proceed to the connection. It depends on the type and material of manufacture. Metal products are connected by welding, for plastic pipes, there are other methods. The main thing - adherence to tightness. Pipes made of plastic have an advantage over metal counterparts. When the water freezes, they do not crack.
  • Then you should start building pipes in the house. For this purpose, the foundation is broken and a hole is made in the floor. It is better to choose an inconspicuous place.
  • After the system is connected, a relay must be connected to it. A pump cable is connected to the relay. The device settings should be checked carefully.
  • The pump cable must be connected to the mains. A pressure tap is installed on the pressure switch, which is an adapter for pipes.

Piping in the house

For effective wiring, a number of rules should be observed:

  • At the bottom of the system, the water outlet with the tap is installed. It is necessary for drainage of water during repair and preventive works.
  • Do not connect the toilet bowl with a plastic pipe. Differences in water pressure can disrupt the pipe. Also, swings can cause damage to joints of elements throughout the entire length of the system. Therefore, the pipes must be connected qualitatively.

Pumping station

The pump station has a limited depth of immersion - up to 9 m.

Such a system can be of different types:

  • With accumulator. This mechanism is equipped with a surface pump and a tank. Such a system pumps the water into the tank until the required pressure arises. When the valve is opened, water will flow from the tap. The advantage of this type is that there is always a certain amount of water in the tank, which can be used even if the system fails. The downside is the pressure drop.
  • The automatic unit operates on the same principle as the surface unit. But the accumulation of water takes place in the reservoir. Opening the water leads the pump to work, and closing helps to shut it down. The automated unit is equipped with a filtering system and protection against dry running. There are no pressure differences on this system.

Installation of the pumping station

To install the station you need the following devices:

  • water filter;
  • Protective relay;
  • Check valve;
  • pressure switch;
  • The automated block;
  • Voltage regulator.

Before installing the pump, you should choose the location of the pump, as well as determine the distance from this place to the source of water. The depth of immersion is also an important nuance.

Usually pumping stations are installed in the depths of the house or ancillary premises. In the case of remoteness of the house from the well, the pump is installed closer to the water source. The device must be protected from moisture and temperature changes.

Types of sewerage wells

There are several types of sewerage wells:

  • Lookout. Serves to clean the system.
  • Differently. It is mounted if the difference between the pipes is above the permissible value.
  • Turning. It is installed in place of pipe turns. This makes it possible to avoid blockages.
  • Accumulative. Such a sealed container is necessary for the accumulation of waste water. After it is filled, water is pumped out by means of a pump or a sump.
  • Filtration. Why do you need such arrangement of a well? The water in it is pre-cleaned.

Selection of material for a sewer well

In recent years, plastic has been increasingly used as the basis of structures. It is distinguished by a low level of frost resistance. The design of such a sewage well is in no way inferior to the reinforced concrete analog. The structure also assumes a shaft, a base and a telescopic lid. Often, the system includes a ring of concrete with a plate and a hatch.

Pluses of plastic construction

Plastic systems have several advantages. Their base already contains holes for discharging water, which are fitted to the diameter of the sewer pipes. In reinforced concrete structures it is necessary to measure the holes for the pipes when they are hollowed out, which requires money and time.

The construction of a sewage well of plastic is reliable. This design is able to withstand high water pressure. Hatches made of cast iron and special rainwater receivers are divided into different classes in the load. Most often used type B, designed for 12.5 tons, and type D, designed for 40 tons.

The accumulator from plastic with razdrepriemnikom

The height of such a well should not be more than 2.5 m. The diameter of the ring should be 1 m. Since the soil is different, it is very difficult to determine the size of the well. If the volume of the constructed well is insufficient, a second construction is built, which is connected to the first through the overflow pipe.

Depth of sewage pipes

The installation of the sewer is completed by laying the pipes. The depth of their passage should be 40 cm. It is important to observe the slope of the pipe, which should be at least 1 cm per 1 m of the route. Also, do not forget about the waterproofing.

When digging a trench, do not dig too deep a notch. It is better to leave a reserve, as the poured earth can settle, which breaks the slope of the track. Place rigid objects under the track, as they contribute to damage to the pipe.
