Archpriest Alexander Abramov: biography, books

The path of believing people is a way of reducing sinful actions, and such a concept as "taking your cross" means to carry on a continuous struggle with bad character traits. So says and thinks, the rector of the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh is in Moscow, Father Alexander.

Protopriest Alexander Abramov. Biography

Alexander Abramov was born on July 9, 1973 in Moscow. Parents were not believers, therefore the son was not brought up in the spirit of faith. After graduating from high school with a silver medal, Alexander first entered the Moscow State University at the Faculty of History, as he was seriously interested in history and the scientific approach to it. From 1995-1998, the young man was studying in the graduate school of the same faculty. In the future, the knowledge received in the university, served as the basis for his activities in the bosom of the church.

In 2000, the future archpriest Alexander Abramov committed a decisive act, enrolling in the Moscow Theological Seminary, and a year later - in the Theological Academy. At the end he was ordained a deacon, and then a priest.

Father Alexander, besides serving in the temple, taught moral theology, served in the Department of External Church Relations, was a clergyman of the Nikolaev Patriarchal Cathedral from 2003 to 2005.

Protopriest Alexander Abramov. Books

The book "The Resurrection of Christ seen" by Alexander's father was written especially for those who for valid reasons can not attend the liturgy from beginning to end, who comes to the temple at the end to the "Symbol of Faith" or to "Our Father", but leaves right away after the sacrament And can not even listen to the sermons of the priest.

In the book of Archpriest Alexander Abramov, the Gospel readings of the calendar year are printed. In addition, it explains the events dear to the heart, which occurred more than two thousand years ago. Father Alexander considers Sunday a small Easter, and the Gospel and Apostolic readings, gradually, week by week lead to an understanding of the Gospel itself.

"The Spring of Our Hope"

In addition to this book, another edition of Archpriest Alexander Abramov, "The Spring of Our Hope," was published. In the book the priest describes every day of Lent, or, as they say, "the Great Fourteenth". What does this or that day mean in a post, how to hold it, what can be introduced into your diet, and what is strictly forbidden? All this in the form of a conversation is printed in the publication.

The book gives an understanding of the post itself, what is the point in this put, because fasting is not an ordinary diet for losing weight. In these days all believers should be doubly attentive to their lives, observe the movements of the soul, correct sinful impulses and passions with the help of confession and communion. Fasting is a time of grace for the soul, and it is undesirable to violate it (without good reason).

Archpriest Alexander Abramov, referring to the reader, helps to fill the inner world with spiritual meaning and otherwise look at the outer world, in true humility repent of sins, and then with joy and with an easy heart to meet the Passover.

"Bright evening"

The leading radio "Vera" often invites Father Alexander to talk, in which they raise questions on topical issues. For example, recently a conversation on the topic "Relations with loved ones" was published, why native people are being targeted for attacks, how to build relationships with them, and so on. Protopriest Alexander Abramov considers the model of aggressive behavior to be intolerant to unacceptable and gives an example of how parents and children communicated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. How much there was between them mutual respect and genuine interest in the problems of both parents and children, moreover, the parents tried to listen sincerely and give advice to the fledgling offspring.

There was another interesting conversation between the priest and the leader A. Pichugin on the subject of condemnation. In fact, the sin of condemnation has become so firmly entrenched in people's lives that many people do not even notice it. Condemn in passing, just like that, for the sake of red words.

Apart from these serious violations of religious prescriptions, many can not live without conviction or justify their own behavior, saying that they just argue. Father Alexander gives excellent advice, taken from the Gospel, to those who want to get rid of this sin - by what measure you judge a person, by the same measure and you will be condemned. Consequently, the severity in this case is against the person.

Archpriest Alexander is a prominent public figure, therefore his opinion for the parishioners is especially important. The purpose of life, the father believes, is a love of God and neighbor, and Jesus Christ is true love.
