Anisovaja vodka - a new drink under the old prescription

The recipe for anise vodka is known since ancient times. This Egyptian drink was considered a healing drink. Today there are many recipes for vodka based on anise. Most countries produce alcohol, traditional for their region, which contains this spice. In Russia aniseed vodka was a frequent guest on the tables. The feudal nobility used this drink always. In each country, such alcohol has its own name. In Greece it is ouzo, in some Arab countries - arak, in Italy - sambuk, in Turkey - cancers.

In Russia anise was used as an additive to flour products. But the most important application of this spice found in vodka production. As a result, aniseed vodka with a strength of about 45 degrees was obtained. It used to be used as a beverage, which stimulates appetite.

And now I propose a recipe for anisovki, known for a very long time. The result is a slightly greenish beverage with the aroma of spice and sweet taste.

To make this drink you need one liter of good vodka, three tablespoons of sugar sugar, 4 tablespoons of boiled water, 6 cloves and, of course, the main ingredient is 30 grams of anise seeds. Spices need to be crushed, but not very finely. Then fill them with vodka. We remove the tincture in a dark place for five days.

After this time we prepare syrup from water and sugar. Add this mixture to the prepared tincture. Now you need to mix everything and leave to infuse for another 1-1.5 months. Preparing vodka is a laborious process. Especially if you want to get a delicious and natural product. When the drink is infused, it can be consumed, but before that it is recommended to strain it through gauze.

If you need to prepare more products, you can use the following recipe.

Take a fourth of the bucket of alcohol and fill it with half a handful of anise seeds, three grams of cinnamon, as much cloves and five grams of lemon peel. After 3-4 days, put 4.5 glasses of water on the fire and add sugar to it. Let this mixture boil twice and pour it into alcohol. Prepared tincture percolate through gauze. To get a cleaner drink, we use cotton and cotton to strain, which we spread between layers of gauze. We pour the liquid into the bottle, seal it and leave it in a dark place for a few weeks. Then we pour aniseed vodka into clean bottles.

This drink can be made using other spices, for example coriander. For cooking, you need 400 grams of anise seeds, about 200 grams of coriander (seeds), 4.5 liters of water, 10 liters of alcohol.

We take half the seeds of spices and grind them. A mortar or other mechanical means can be used. Fill them with alcohol and leave for a month in a dark place. Then add water and distill with a special apparatus. In the resulting vodka, add the remaining seeds and again insist for a month. During this period, you have to mix the tincture several times. At the end of this period, we prepare a syrup of 2 kilograms of sugar and two liters of water. Tincture must be filtered and added to it cooked syrup. We mix everything well and distribute it in bottles. We store them in a dark and cool place. Aniseed vodka is ready, it can be used if necessary.

In Russia, two types of this drink were made. One is based on the seeds of this spice, brought from China. Another recipe was based on the seeds of anise common, growing in Russia. They have the same range of shades, but the taste is slightly simpler.

Anisovaja vodka is a traditional Russian drink, the recipe of which recently becomes especially popular. But we must remember that alcohol is not shown to everyone, they should be consumed in small quantities.
