A little about the plot

The story begins in the parallel universe, where the Prince of Darkness, in an attempt to capture the world of Enth Isl, was defeated. In order to be saved, the Prince of Darkness and his accomplice escape to another world, which turns out to be modern Tokyo.

In our world it turns out that the forces of evil have lost their magic and turned into almost ordinary people who need something to eat, pay for rented accommodation and work. But the fallen angel is not accustomed to difficulties, and the master of evil finds himself a fine job in the fast food empire, tempting people with hamburgers and fried potatoes.

Mao Sadao

In this anime, a rather peculiar characters. "Satan at work" - animated series, interesting in that it practically does not have large-scale battles and fantasy adventures, it is rather a parody of our world, and the main role in it is assigned to the Prince of Darkness.

In his homeworld, the Demon Lord is called Stan Jacob, but, having got into our reality, he took the pseudonym of Mao Sadao. Virtually all-powerful in Yenta Isla, in the world of people he is subject to simple human weaknesses and can die from a bullet wound.

History

From other anime about Satan this animated series is different in that it begins with the defeat of the Prince of Darkness. He tried to enslave his world, but was defeated by the hero Emilia. Because of the very little magic in our world, Mao and one of his generals who followed him, Alziel, were forced to accept the human form.

Once in Tokyo, Mao settled into the McRonalds restaurant chain (a parody of the McDonald's brand). Here he quickly succeeded and was promoted, becoming an assistant manager. Later, Mao managed to return for a short time the forces of the Lord of Darkness. This was due to Lucifer, another demon general, who received strength from despair and fear of people. However, all his power, Mao had to spend on the restoration of Tokyo, destroyed in the battle with Lucifer, and cleaning up the memories of the city's residents.

As for the past of Satan, in the very anime about it is practically not mentioned. More detailed information can be found in novels, on the basis of which the animated series was shot. In particular, they say that the Prince of Darkness comes from a tribe of goblins, which was destroyed and he was the only survivor, doomed to die slowly. His life was saved by Archangel Leila (mother of the hero of Emilia), who took pity on the weeping demon. Leila took care of Mao and gave him human knowledge. Also, the angel was the first to call him Satan, Lord of the Demons.

Later, when Leila left Mao, he tried to conquer Enta Isla, he was assisted by 4 generals: Lucifer, Adremelech, Malakoda and Alziel.

Character

In this anime, all characters have an expressive character. Satan at work, he is the main character, nevertheless remains the most colorful and ambiguous. On the one hand, being the Lord of the Demons, he showed incredible cruelty, trying to conquer people. On the other hand, on the Earth, on the contrary, he tried to save people who had become accidental victims in the battle of demons, and spent the last magical powers for the restoration of the city. Mao himself admitted that before he got into our world, he simply did not understand people. Nevertheless, he is not going to absolve himself of responsibility for the lives that his army took in Enta Isla.

Abilities

Despite the large number of parody elements, it belongs to the genre of fantasy anime "Satan on the work". The characters of the animated series are therefore endowed with magical abilities. So, the Demon Lord has incredible power. In addition, other characters are endowed with magic, and each of them has its own unique color. For Mao, for example, it is black.

Once on Earth, Mao lost virtually all of his abilities and became a simple man, since in our world there are no sources of magic. However, he later found out that he can turn negative emotions of people into magic.

Among the most used abilities of Mao can be called such as:

• Transformation: The Prince of Darkness has 2 forms - human and demonic. This transformation does not always depend on his will. So, having restored magical abilities, he takes the form of a demon, in addition to the will, and, having lost them, becomes a simple man.
• Hypnosis: Mao can mentally influence people by forcing him to do what he needs, or erase their memory. Only thanks to this ability he managed to obtain the documents of a resident of Tokyo.

Hanzo Uruchihara

There are also several other demons in the anime "Satan on the runway," whose season 2 has not yet come out. One of them is Lucifer, the general of the Prince of Darkness and a fallen angel who took the name of Hanzo Uruchihara in our world.

Lucifer arrived on Earth after the Demon King, along with a representative of the church of Orbo. Their goal was to destroy Sadao. However, the Prince of Darkness overcame his general, but did not destroy, but showed mercy and even allowed to live in his apartment.

Because the police were searching for Lucifer, he did not leave Mao's house. All the free time the fallen angel spent on the Internet, computer games and shopping in electronic stores, wasting Mao's money, which greatly angered Ashiya.

Lucifer has his own story, as well as other characters ("Satan at work").

In the past, he was the leader of the archangels and possessed such a high rank among the other angels that, even becoming a fallen one, he did not lose power over the lower ranks. But paradise seemed to Lucifer too boring a place, so he renounced his position. After that, he lost his status, and his wings turned black, which indicated the self-destruction that had begun. From that moment he left paradise and became a fallen angel.

Lucifer went to the Land of Demons. Here he lived among the tribes of demons, who were waging incessant wars with each other. Having proved himself a good fighter, the fallen angel gained influence and power among the new compatriots. However, because of his holy origin, he remained an outcast among the pureblood demons.

Abilities

The animated series "Satan at work", whose list of characters we continued with Lucifer, the anime is rather small - only 1 season out of 13 episodes was released. Therefore, many of the abilities of the characters are not yet fully revealed. Thus, the following is known about Lucifer's abilities:

• The color of his magic is purple.
• Flight - he can materialize the wings of black color, which allow him to fly at great speed.
• Explosion - feathers from its wings can explode.
• The ability to create energy charges that explode when hit in the target.
• High endurance allows Lucifer to survive even after deadly attacks.

Shirou Ashiya

We continue to get acquainted with the world of the anime series "Satan at work". The characters of this cartoon have a largely unearthly origin. An exception was not Shirou Ashiya, who is one of the generals of the Prince of Darkness named Alziel. He followed his master to Earth. Alziel is the most devoted and faithful servant of Mao, but, as practice shows, he is never there when the master needs help.

On Earth, while Mao earns money, Shirou spends time in libraries, seeking information about the magical sources of this world, and manages the economy. His search does not bring any results. And during the battles, he appears only in the finals, explaining the delay in running home to put on a demonic suit.

In everyday life, he plays the role of an intelligent, serious and responsible guy who must lead a company that constantly gets into trouble with the fry. He deals with all monetary issues, not missing an opportunity to save on anything. Because of this, he often quarrels with the extravagant Lucifer.

About his abilities, nothing is known, since he never had the opportunity to use them.

Emilia

Emilia - the main enemy of Mao in the animated series "Satan at work". The characters whose names were mentioned above are supporters of the forces of evil. Now let's talk about those who fight with them.

So, Emilia is the hero of Enta Isla, a sweet girl who followed the Prince of Darkness into our world. As soon as she managed to discover Mao on Earth, she treats him hostilely, follows him and tries to figure out what kind of meanness he has conceived this time.

Deprived of magic, like demons, she finds herself working in a call-center. Initially, she had to destroy the Prince of Darkness, but gradually she begins to see in him positive qualities and falls in love.

Nevertheless, hatred for Mao did not go anywhere. The fact is that her father died during the invasion of the army of demons. Mother of Emilia was an archangel, so the church took the girl to make her a knight and to teach to fight with the forces of evil.

Suzuno Kamazuki

In addition to Mao himself, there are other ambiguous characters in the anime. Satan, in part-time work, in particular, meets on the Earth Suzuno Kamazuki, the inquisitor, whom the church sent to destroy the Prince of Darkness. Her real name is Christia Bell. Arriving in our world, the girl settled behind the wall at Mao and his friends. For unknown reasons, she begins to take care of demons living in the neighborhood.

She wears a kimono and adheres to ancient Japanese traditions. This is due to the fact that she studied a new world for her through old books and films. Suzuno is balanced and calm, one might say, even apathetic. Nothing, not even a battle, can take her out of balance.

Gradually, like Emilia, she begins to understand that the Prince of Darkness is not so cruel and ruthless as she used to think. Nevertheless, Suzuno does not stop to suspect him of trying to cost the machinations in a new world.

Unlike demons, she did not lose her abilities, so in the fight with Mao the latter had a hard time.

Sasaki Chiho (anime «Satan on the work»)

The anime characters, as you can see, mostly have an unearthly origin. The only exception is Chiho Sasaki, a colleague of Mao, who falls in love with the Prince of Darkness.

Chiho is a positive and sweet girl who has nothing to do with the war between the demons and the angels, but is often in the thick of things. Therefore it is not surprising that Chiho soon learns about the origin of Mao and Emilia. But this does not frighten the girl. On the contrary, the Prince of Darkness does not seem to her the embodiment of the universal hall.

Mao himself refers to Chiho more like a younger sister and considers himself responsible for her safety. In addition, he believes that the girl's love is due to the fact that after hitting the Earth, Mao acted hypnotically on her father, and Chiho fell under the influence of demonic magic.

There remains only one unresolved issue related to this animated series: "How many seasons in the anime" Satan at work "?" To date, there is only 1 season, which was released in the distant 2013. And there is no information that the anime will continue.
