Animal cub - wild and domestic

Everyone likes to watch how cute young animals frolic. But for many kids, these games are a process of growing up, upbringing and training. Training your skills in this way, crumbs are preparing to lead an independent adult life. In addition to such independent development, many young people are trained due to the sensitive care of their parents. But some representatives of the animal world are special examples of caring for the emerging offspring.

Moms of polar bears

Bear cubs living in the Far North, even before the advent of babies begin to care about their well-being. They prepare the lair in advance and intensively gain weight, so that throughout the polar night, provide the bear cub with food. After the birth of the babies are completely helpless, so they need sensitive guardianship of the mother. For eight months she feeds her offspring. With the advent of spring, the bear continues to take care of the children, taking them out on a fishing trip, teaching them to catch sprying prey in the water. But this maternal feelings do not pass. A few more years the cubs follow the mother, who protects them from dangers and teaches them to adapt to life in the harsh regions.

Elephant moms

In elephants, the breeding of offspring lasts 22 months. After giving birth, the animal's cub is not deprived of maternal affection, which manifests itself round the clock. This attention is important, because the baby elephant appears completely blind. A mother can feed her child until the appearance of the next offspring, despite the fact that he has been accustomed to solid food since six months. It is also interesting that besides the mother mother, other members of the herd are taken care of for the crumb, as if about their own. Other "nannies" are also ready to protect babies from predators, like their own mother.

Cat's caresses

Among the most caring mothers are representatives of felines. This includes not only ordinary cats, but dangerous wild animals: tigers, cougars, lynxes and many others. A young animal from this family is only obliged to survive by mothers, since fathers very rarely participate in upbringing. The cat shows care of the babies from the very moment of their birth. She feeds, lickens and practically does not depart from kittens in the first days of their life. Over time, the mother teaches them to hunt, bringing them half-dead prey, so that they develop appropriate skills. In addition, the cat is ready to protect its offspring from dangerous animals, pouncing on an aggressively developing object, or it can transfer children from the nape to a calmer place. In this family, young animals (wild and domestic) are real lucky ones, because their mothers are ready to sacrifice themselves for them.

Cats have developed mother instincts so much that they are ready to raise even other people's children. There were cases when the cat-mother accepted belchat, chickens and other crumbs, left orphans. The photos of domestic animals with cubs shown in this article demonstrate how mothers "adopted" other people's toddlers. Sometimes it was so lucky and the kittens too.

Alligators and their children

Strangely enough, these reptiles are also exemplary parents. Even before laying eggs, the female tends to approach the choice of the place of "incubation". It is interesting that the cubs of this animal acquire sex, depending on the temperature of the place where the eggs lie. That's why a caring mother makes two different masonry. One of them she covers with cool moss, and the second she hides in the leafy leaves, so that the temperature is higher and the males appear. In addition, during the entire incubation period the mother protects her clutches so that all the babies remain unscathed. Waiting for the children to appear, she carries everyone in her mouth to the water, where she keeps her offspring for about another year.

Wolf families

In wolves, both parents participate in the rearing of offspring. This is a good example of how animals care about cubs in pairs and teach them all the wisdom of life. After the appearance of the wolf cub, the female feeds them with milk for about two months. Next, not only the mother, but also the father begins to take care of the food for the puppies, giving them half-digested food. When the little ones grow up a little, parents bring alive teeth in their teeth, teaching them to kill the victim. By acquiring such skills, the cubs begin to go hunting together with adults. Independent life in puppies begins in a year.

Primates and their young

Virtually all primates do not leave their babies after birth. But between the representatives of the detachment there may be differences in the methods of education. So, most macaques are not examples of affectionate behavior of parents: they can bite and scratch their babies. Also, if these moms are dissatisfied with something, they may miss their wool for the wool. Growing up, macaques also behave with their offspring, but if the child did not offend his parents in childhood, he would not hurt his brood.

In chimpanzee families everything is different. They care so much for their child that they are ready to die for it. Thanks to the mother's love, the animal's cub gets confidence and in time can take a good position in the monkey family. The mother always tries to keep the crumb nearby and communicates with him through sounds, gestures and facial expressions.

"Evil" moms

But not all animals so cherish their litter. Some mothers leave their crumbs immediately after their birth. In general, such practices are practiced by those animals that have been prepared for an independent life since birth. For example, newborn seals have sufficient fat reserves, and they do not die of hunger even though their mothers leave.

Also, the animal's cub can remain without guardianship after some time. The female at the same time excommunicate the baby gradually. The mother can go away from the crumb every time, the return to it takes more and more time, and one day she just does not come.

The fact is that the more often an animal brings offspring, the less care it takes for its crumbs. Proof is small rodents, which are very prolific. The role of the mother is not in education, but in feeding. Often in twenty days, the children leave their native nest. For example, hares grow very quickly. A few weeks after the birth of lynx, they can begin to lead an independent life.

Facts about young animals and their parents

There are many animals on the earth, and each species treats its offspring in its own way. Here are some examples of motherhood in the animal world.

  • Each pigeon has its own character and therefore each family is different from the others. There are males who, just like the mother, will feed and care for their chicks, others, on the contrary, are able to peck their own offspring.
  • In kangaroos, even mothers are negligent. If the crumb does not hold tight to the wet nurse and does not stick to the nipple during jumping, he may fall out of the bag, and his mother will not even notice.
  • The fox is careful not only the female. The father helps the mother to feed the foxes, which can be up to 13 pieces.
  • Herons are not an example of maternal love. When they see the kite, they will not even try to save their chick. In addition, they can ruin the nest of their neighbor with her chicks.
  • The squirrel cares for its newborn bellet. She wraps the bare crumbs with moss, so that they do not freeze until she is absent in the nest.
