How bored these insects, hitting a human dwelling, is known to all. But not everyone knows about these flies biting or not. Most people tend to believe that these insects in June-July are completely benevolent. But in August they turn into the most real monsters! But this is not so.

Indoor flies are common to Dipterous insects and are included in the family of real flies. In the wild, they almost never occur. Mostly house flies lead a daily life.

But these insects can not bite living creatures. Therefore, the main harm from them is that the houseflies carry various infections on their paws. After all, in summer they live not only in houses, but also in secluded places, at garbage cans, finding there food for themselves.

The fly is gray

These Diptera can be up to 25 millimeters in length. But such are very rare, ten-millimeter gray flies are more common. They are gray with black spots and red eyes. They are often confused with ordinary flies. But this insect is much more.

In addition, these dipterous larvae are deposited immediately. Place masonry are rotten fruits, carrion, feces, manure - any organic matter. For this, gray flies are called meat flies. No one would have thought that a meat-gray fly is even useful. These winged peddlers act as natural nurses, destroying carrion.

Many notice that by the end of the summer the flies seem to become more vicious. Now they not only get bored with their buzzing and crawling along the body and products - they are painfully stinging. And many are interested in why flies bite in August.

People used to say before: flies take revenge on people because they will see the next spring, and insects will die. But all this, of course, is a myth. He came from simple ignorance. After all, people blame the bites of ordinary houseflies, believing that for some reason they suddenly changed their eating habits.

But in fact they incorrectly answer the question of why flies bite in August. Simply during this period the life cycle of a special kind of flies begins, which are called zhigalkami.

These Diptera are extremely prolific. They leave their eggs everywhere, postponing them many times in a season. Therefore, in August, a myriad of them fly. It hurts these insects bosom because they feed exclusively on blood, piercing the upper layer of the skin with their sharp proboscis.

These bites are not only painful. Flies-hawks are carriers of dangerous viruses and infections. Therefore, if possible, protect yourself and children from them: put on the protective screens, use repellent during the walk.
