Such a wonderful and beloved by all Russians holiday, like Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, was celebrated for the first time in our country on July 8, 2008. The initiative of its establishment came from the inhabitants of the ancient city of Murom and received unanimous support from the representatives of the Federation Council. Since then, many newlyweds dream of officially registering their relationship on this festive summer day. Let's talk about the history of the All-Russian Family Day, love and fidelity in more detail.
Already more than 780 years on July 8 is an Orthodox day of veneration of the holy princes of Murom - Peter and Fevronia. Even during life, this couple became a model of mutual love, mutual loyalty and family happiness. According to the beautiful ancient Russian legend, they lived a soul in the soul and died on the same day, namely - on June 25, 1228 according to the old style (respectively, on July 8 - in a new way). Their bodies, buried separately, mysteriously appeared in one coffin, which they considered a true miracle.

In 1547 Peter and Fevronia were officially canonized at the church cathedral. Their miraculous relics rest on the territory of the nunnery in the city of Murom. If you believe in the numerous reports of grateful people, they helped a large number of believers around the world to find family happiness, maintain conjugal love and loyalty, and find the long-awaited motherhood for desperate women. In the monastery there is even a special book, in which amazing cases of healing are recorded.

Thus, the Day of Love, Family and Fidelity is scheduled for July 8 is not accidental. The symbol of this wonderful holiday was a daisy - a tender and touching flower, and the main center of the holiday - the city of Murom.

Despite the fact that this day is observed relatively recently, it has already gained wide popularity among Russians. To date, in various parts of the country on July 8, various festive events are held, which are then broadcast on the central television channels, and mass marriage ceremonies. In 2008, a company was organized to erect monuments to Peter and Fevronia in Russian cities. Traditionally, on this July day it is customary to give medals to married couples who have lived together for 50 years or more.

If Family Day continues to gain momentum and receive an active response among numerous families, it is quite possible that soon it will be declared a holiday of the calendar. In this case, Russians will have a wonderful opportunity to spend a day off with their loved ones.

Surely, anticipating the upcoming holiday, many couples are asking a completely natural question about how to celebrate the Family Day? The scenario of its holding can be designed for friendly family gatherings and include a variety of paired competitions, the purpose of which will be to demonstrate awareness of the tastes and preferences of their second half.
