In Russia this kind of art was even called to be called differently than in the whole world - animation. Let it not be in the title, but there is a certain symbol in it - leading masters of this genre followed a special national tradition, when in the shortest time the film invested a maximum of meaning, feelings, moods. Alexander Tatarsky was the personification of this approach, although his works opened a completely new page in the domestic animation.

Congenital feeling

The humor in his films is a special concept. Its origins become more understandable when you learn about the family in which the famous animator was born. He was born on December 11, 1950 in Kiev, in the family of "circus". Mikhail Semyonovich Tatarsky - Sasha's father, had an amazing specialty - he composed reprises for clowns. His scenes were performed by the stars of this genre - Pencil, Leonid Yengibarov, Oleg Popov, Mikhail Shuidin and Yuri Nikulin, who often came to visit.

About the meetings with them, Alexander Tatarsky remembered all his life, at one time in his childhood he dreamed like they would go out into the arena, and once said that the profession of the animator is akin to the clownish. And is not the clown like the main character of the film "Last year's snow fell"? Tatar-senior wrote and scripts for the cartoons, filmed at the Kiev film studio. Once, having been there with his father, Alexander was imbued with the process and determined what he would like to do in the future.

From Kiev to Moscow

Education, which Alexander Tatar received, - Kiev Institute of Theater and Cinema (1974). A specialty is a screenwriter-film critic-editor and three-year courses of multipliers under the State Committee of the USSR are now the ideal solution for the way that he passed: from independent short films to his own studio and large volume projects such as "The Gem of Hearts".

There was also a visit as a free listener of the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors, when he was already working in Moscow on the television studio "Ekran". The initial period of life in the capital was not simple in many respects, but Moscow's importance as a better place for success for a person who feels sufficient potential was inherent in her as in the past, so, it seems, will continue in the future.

Bright start

Alexander Tatarsky showed himself at the studio as a real professional when he participated in the development of animated screen savers for television reports from the sports arenas of the Moscow Olympics. Soon in the form of encouragement, he was allowed to produce his own film. Soon, some lightheadedness of his decision became clear to the authorities. Literary basis lay incomprehensible in the ideological sense of the verse, and the author of music - Grigory Gladkov - was not even a member of the Union of Composers. But the Goskino leadership could not resist the energy of the Tatar and the film "Plasticine's Crow" was completed in 1981.

The vigilant leading workers had an iron reason for the ban - a "scandalous lack of initiative", but the cartoon was deliberately shown in the "Kinopanoram" and broke out to the viewer. It was unusual for everything: lightness, humor, interesting visual technique and unrestrained imagination. The film then received 25 different film awards, and Alexander Tatarsky became one of the unconditional leaders of the new domestic animation.

Plasticine masterpieces

Screensaver for the transfer of "Good night kids", which goes today, changed several times. Since 1981, the best one is plasticine. When it was declared obsolete and replaced with a more "modern" one, letters from adults and young viewers began to come, and after minor changes the screens returned the classic, which was invented by Alexander Tatarsky. The cartoons that "put to sleep" children were very different, and the transmission began and ended equally with different breaks for more than 20 years. This ability to create masterpieces of minute duration, withstanding several thousand hits, is especially useful to Tatarsky and his studio in the difficult 90s when they carried out orders of the most influential TV companies in the world.

After the first show of the film "Last year's snow fell", held on December 31, 1983, he broke into quotations, becoming one of the usual attributes of New Year's days. At the same time, only the thoughtless giggling or mocking ridicule can be seen in it only by fighters of the ideological front from the 80s, again demanding endless alterations and forbidding the show, or the current arrogant intellectuals, who know best what can offend the great people.

Now it is a cult psychedelic masterpiece of absurd art. And when Tatarsky explained to the composer, what melody should sound in the end, he said: "To be able to play at our funeral ..." So it happened. He asked this level for himself and for others.

"Pilot" and "Mountain of gems"

Such people are called "man-holiday", he always expected rallies, surprises, new ideas. The onset of a period of dictate of new economic relations, before which there was a time of complete emptiness in shops and purses, was a time for such - enterprising, energetic, able to maintain positive.

His favorite child was the studio "Pilot", which in 1988 created the Tatar. Alexander, whose wife - Alina, was also "found" in the studio, considered her his family. How much he experienced, when the studio became a supplier of high-quality personnel for overseas animation, and one by one the comrades flew away for a prosperous and prosperous life, it became clear later when his heart was tired finally.

In his last project - the grandiose "Woe to the Gems" - there was much that has not been seen so far, much that is "in the trend" now. And the patriotism, which Tatarsky spoke about, starting this project, more human, without hysterics and officialdom, based on the most popular art - on a fairy tale. He was the first to show so clearly the other wealth that the country has.
