Air company "Uteir". The fleet of airplanes. Passenger and cargo air transportation

"UTair" - one of the largest airlines of Russia, was founded in the distant 1967. In addition to passenger and cargo air transportation, the company is engaged in maintenance of aircraft and personnel training. By March 2017, "UTair" fleet has about 70 vessels and is the third among Russian airlines. The carrier has the world's largest helicopter fleet.

Information about the airline

The first mention of the air carrier dates back to 1967, when the Tyumen Civil Aviation Administration was established. And only in 1991 the Civil Aviation Administration was disbanded, the airline Tyumeniaviatrans was established. In 2002 there was a rebranding and the carrier was named "Uteir". At that time, the "UTair" fleet of aircraft numbered only a few aircraft. They were used for domestic air transportation, mainly in Siberia.

The Moscow airport Vnukovo is considered to be the basic airport for UTair, and the headquarters of the management is in Surgut.

Geography of flights

The company "UTair" fleet of aircraft is large enough and allows you to carry out both domestic and international flights. In Russia, the airline carries out flights to the Far East, Siberia and the European part of the country. Each day there are about 300 flights. The main areas: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, as well as Kiev, Minsk, Baku, Vilnius.

International flights are carried out in such countries as Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, China, Thailand and others. There are also chartered tourist flights to popular resorts.

Despite the fact that the airline is not a budget carrier, ticket prices are very democratic. Even the economy-class flight already includes baggage and hand luggage transportation, as well as food and drinks on board.

The main goal of the airline is to achieve a high level in passenger service and cargo transportation, as well as maintaining competitiveness in the air transportation market.

"UTair" aircraft fleet (2016)

In 2014, the airline was in a difficult financial situation, and therefore most of the aircraft had to be sold. In 2012 the company owned 228 aircraft, and in early 2017 only 68 remained. In the opinion of the management, the reduction of the fleet and, as a consequence, the reduction of leasing payments should have saved the company from bankruptcy.

Despite the fact that after 2014, the airline "Uteir" fleet of aircraft was not so large, it was able to rehabilitate. Thanks to the state support program, it received about 9.5 billion rubles. And already in 2015, out of the losses and received a profit of 2.5 billion rubles. There was an increase in passenger traffic. For 2016, "UTair" carried about 3 million passengers, which is 14% more than in the previous year.

Most of the fleet consists of Boeing 737 different modifications, and there are several Boeing 767-200ER, ATR 72-500, An-2 and An-74 aircraft.

Activities

"UTair" is engaged in both regular and charter flights. In addition, the VIP-service is provided.

In the rating of punctuality of Russian airlines in 2016, "UTair" took second place. In January 2017, the company carried about 500,000 passengers, which is a third more than the previous year for the same period.

Recently, the tendency of assigning the names of eminent personalities of different regions to passenger planes began all over the world. At the company "Uteir" the fleet of aircraft carries original names. Thus, aircraft are named after Soviet scientists, party figures and participants in the Great Patriotic War.

Positive dynamics

Aviamflot is scheduled to be updated by the end of 2018 - early 2019. What kind of aircraft will replenish the fleet of the airline, is for certain unknown. It is assumed that this will be Airbus A321 and Boeing 737-NG, which were supposed to update the fleet in 2016.

Given the stable development of the airline, it is possible that in the near future 10 out of 20 long-haul aircraft will be delivered to UTair.

On the official sites of aircraft manufacturers, orders for the supply of 20 Airbus A321 and 30 Boeing 737 series of various modifications are unfulfilled.

The airline launched the tariff "Light". Now tickets for most destinations can be purchased with a 50% discount. This tariff does not apply to all dates and times of departure, nor does it apply to holidays and weekends.
