The work of the Weiner brothers "Medicine against fear" was very popular. Therefore, it was filmed twice: in 1978 (this will be discussed later) and in 1989 (it was a mini-series called "Entrance to the Labyrinth"). So what kind of fear was the medicine poured on Captain Pozdnyakov? What is included in its composition? Who invented it? We'll figure out.

Story line. Poisoning and kidnapping

The film takes place in the late seventies of the twentieth century. A district militiaman, Captain Pozdnyakov, was poisoned by unknown criminals. They took from him the service weapon and service certificate.

The head of the department, General Sharapov, initiated an official check on the captain. And the conduct of this check should be conducted by the inspector of criminal investigation, Captain Tikhonov.

According to the results of the medical check, Pozdnyakova was poisoned with an unknown substance. To understand what a medicine is against fear (The same unknown substance) was used, Tikhonov has to turn to Professor Panafidin, who is a leading expert in the field of medications. Conclusion of medical experts turned out to be a shock for Panfindin: he realized that an unknown substance that was applied to Captain Pozdnyakov is a drug that Panfindin himself works on. And since the professor together with his institute were engaged in the development of this problem, Panafidin doubts that at least someone else, besides himself and his employees, can synthesize this substance in artisanal, so to speak, domestic conditions without resorting to the help of special equipment. Now you can think about something else. A group of criminals has developed a rather cunning plan that can bring them significant profits. This idea was considered for a very long time. Enrichment options were developed, counterfeit documents were used. Risk was necessary, moreover, justified. The failure was not allowed, because the result could be imprisonment.

Their hope was for the newest drugs being developed in medicine, not yet fully studied and tested. But for the bandits it was only on hand. Because of his absent-mindedness, an honest police captain Pozdnyakov fell for the bait of criminals. He drinks one of these drugs and loses consciousness, after which bandits steal his weapons and documents. A little later they start using Pozdnyakov's official identity ...

Selective theft

Pozdnyakov's documents and his weapons are soon to be found. As it became known to the police, the criminals, unknown so far, came to different people, appearing as servants of the law, with searches and seized money and valuables. But Captain Tikhonov realized that the criminals "cleaned" not ordinary, ordinary Soviet people, but family members of the "Fisherman Athlete" collective, who were convicted of embezzlement of state property.

That was such a story. A few years after the release of this picture was filmed five-series series entitled "Entrance to the maze." And this version of the Weiner product enjoyed the immense popularity of the inhabitants of the Land of Soviets.

In 2013, another series with the same title was shot, "The Medicine Against Fear." All his series (and there were 16 of them) told about the talented surgeon Andrei Kovalev. But this is a completely different story.
