Acer Aspire 5250 Notebook: an overview, specs and reviews

A few years ago, the company "Eiser" presented to the public quite interesting and versatile series Aspire 52hh. Individual models have received many praises and were relatively warmly received.

The hero of today's review is the Acer Aspire 5250 laptop. The characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the model, as well as the opinions of specialists along with the feedback of the owners of the device are presented in the article.

Design

The appearance of the updated line is not much different from its predecessor. The brand logo of the brand, which was located in the middle of the lid, is now in the corner and looks more like a label than a logo.

The older models had LED indicators for the network and hard drive next to the power button, which are no longer on the new Acer Aspire 5250. Many owners are indignant about this in their reviews, since now, in order to understand whether the system is busy or not, we have to listen to the "rustling" of the hard drive.

The case of Acer Aspire 5250 became less durable, which can be attributed to both the chassis and the display cover. Much has pleased the matte surface in the textured stylistics, on which it is difficult to leave fingerprints. Also worth noting is perfectly balanced loops that hold the device in any convenient position for the user. In the rest - all the same old Aspire, to which we are accustomed.

Interfaces

The set of ports on the Acer Aspire 5250 is rather meager. Instead of the usual HDMI port line, there is an empty space, it's good that USB ports are left without quantitative changes, there are also 3 of them. Owners in their reviews are somewhat dissatisfied with the location of the ports on the left: for lefties this can be good, but for the bulk of users it interferes with working with the mouse.

Well, and if you decide to connect a variety of peripherals, then be prepared for visible and protruding in all directions cables from the Acer Aspire 5250. Feedback about the device has repeatedly noted the design defect, haphazardly located VGA output and USB interfaces on one side.

Input Devices

The keyboard is more or less responsive, but the bending around the "Enter" key is noticeable. Also, users note in their reviews the small size of the navigation keys. People with big fingers are very uncomfortable, and simple female fingers sometimes press two keys at once.

The touchpad was quite sensible and responsive with a smooth and pleasant to the touch surface. Problems with management do not arise, therefore, there are no critical remarks on this item.

Display

The device is equipped with a glossy display (1366 x 768 pixels) with TN matrix. And this means that the viewing angle of the laptop is clearly not a strong point: watching a movie or leaf through photos with friends becomes a problem, and in the sun with such a screen does not work. Also, many owners note in their reviews the presence of unpleasant glare, and the only place where you can sit comfortably behind the device is a room with daylight.

Autonomous work

In the standard energy-saving mode, with a network connected and viewing video, the laptop will last no more than four hours. In principle, a good time for the budget model, given that the battery is fully charged for an hour and a half.
