You do not even guess what your computer is capable of

We all use computers in virtually the same way - to go online, watch movies and videos, listen to music, study or work. All this is already a lot, but the capabilities of computers are not limited to this. Any computer can surpass our expectations.

Many do not even suspect what their personal equipment is capable of. In the end, this is not an expensive pleasure and you need to learn how to get the most out of what your investment can offer.

Switch between open windows and applications faster

Almost everyone knows that the combination alt + tab allows you to quickly move from one open application to another. But there is an even faster and more convenient way to work with open and not even open windows.

To start, point the mouse cursor at the icon of the desired application on the taskbar, this will cause a pop-up window with a picture of all the open windows of this application. But that's not all. If you press shift while clicking on the application, this will allow you to open a new window. The combination shift + ctrl will open this window as administrator. If you need to quickly select the last active window of a specific application, just press ctrl at the same time as clicking the application icon on the taskbar.

Keep a record of your actions

If you often encounter software problems and can not solve them on your own, you can greatly ease the repair work of a technician. Especially it helps in the case when you yourself are not able to explain what the problem is. Windows can record and save all your actions and steps, which can then be traced to understand what's wrong.

In the search bar, enter "psr". The result you find will lead you to the "recording tool for troubleshooting". Open it and press "start recording". As a result, Windows will begin to save step-by-step screenshots of your actions, which you will need to save in zip format.

Perform conversions without the Internet

If you need to quickly convert units of weight, length, volume, temperature, etc., the calculator will come to your aid. Yes, you are not mistaken. Despite the fact that the calculator in all versions of Windows looks almost invariable, this does not mean that it does not become more useful.

Click the "View" tab in the main application menu and click "Convert Units". You will see an additional extension, allowing you to work with different units of measure.

Learn the reliability of your operating system

If you are not satisfied with the work of Windows, you can see what went wrong. Developers have created a System Stability Monitor that shows how reliable the system is at the moment and that it does not work in it.

To open the Stability Monitor, type the word "stability" or "reliability" in the search bar and click "View System Security Log", indicated by a blue checkmark. The opened application will show you the system stability index, information about errors, crashed applications and programs, and updates. With this application, you can quickly identify the error and solve the problem.

Stickers on the desktop

Many often use stickers for notes and reminders and glue them directly to the monitor or keyboard, so as not to miss something important. You can forget about this practice, because Windows offers you the ability to "glue" these notes directly to your desktop computer.

These digital stickers can be found in the Start menu => Standard => Notes for Windows 7. In Windows 10, the application started to be called Sticky Notes, and it's easier to find it using the search box. These small notes allow you to create printed or handwritten text with reminders or useful information. You can also change the color of the labels, delete the old ones using the "x" key and add new ones simply by pressing the "+" button.

Easily enter complex mathematical formulas

This application is ideal for students and scientists, since it is very difficult to enter complex equations, formulas and signs in programs such as Word. Luckily, Windows offers a great application called "Math Input Panel" where you can write a handwritten formula of any complexity with your mouse, finger, or stylus.
