The appearance of this beast means events that go far beyond the predictable. Often this is a disorder of a small scale. So what kind of animal appears in the eastern Slavs in unpredictable situations? Well, of course! It's Yoshkin's cat! Let us dwell on this non-standard phenomenon.

Strong expression and its meaning

The well-known Yoshkin (Yoshkin) cat is a persistent expression, in other words, phraseology along with other proverbs. It means a strongly relaxed curse that can characterize the many different emotions that have arisen with unexpected factors. Emotions with a negative connotation predominate.

Exclaimed "Yoshkin cat!" We hear instead of foul language. It is used when a person by virtue of his upbringing can not use Russian strong words, or in a situation where obscene lexicon is inappropriate.

The origin of expression

A 150-kilogram bronze monument was made in Kazan by three sculptors: Anatoly Shirnin and Sergei Yandubaev from Yoshkar-Ola, Alexei Shilov from Moscow.

The idea to make such a symbol of the city was proposed by the head of the republic of Mari El Leonid Markelov. The money that went to create a monument is a gift from Moscow businessmen to the residents of the famous city.
