Who Will Win, TV Or Computer?

Now there is such a situation in the field of Hi-tech, that modern television technology has to function more and more like a regular computer. This is not a tribute to fashion, but a harsh necessity. And if everything is clear with the size and quality of the screen (here it must, a priori, be at an altitude), then with strictly specialized, computer functions, everything is not so unambiguous.

Take for example the built-in browser, the surfing in which is carried out by the remote control, and the Internet connection is provided via wireless Wi-Fi. Is this option really in demand? Strangely enough, it is very in demand. The thing is that many users do not want to clog their attention with unnecessary details and materials. It is much easier for them to watch interesting content (movies, TV shows) directly from the browser in the online mode, the benefit of resources that work only with HD-quality is enough. For those who prefer to conduct all operations on their computer, the TVs of the leading brands offer to use a conventional flash drive. The content of the flash drive is connected to the TV in the USB connector, it is read and played. This feature is very convenient for those who downloaded the movie on the Internet on their computer and want to see it on the big screen. Still, the home theater in this regard is much better.

Producers of large TV panels tend to add all kinds of functions to the maximum, so it was no worse than that of a neighbor. And the fact that they are of little demand no one cares. For example, the ability to record a TV show from the screen directly to a flash drive is almost never used. Also a bit embarrassing is the manic stubbornness with which the leading corporations of Samsung, Panasonic, Philips, Sony and other companies are trying to equip their models with 3D functions. And it does not matter that the technical side here is far from perfect. The main thing that it was like a neighbor. Sometimes really worthwhile instances come across, where 3D is not an empty sound. Not cheap forty-seven inch giant Philips 47PFL6097T offers the user to choose the depth of 3D. At a frequency of 600 Hertz and a trillion colors, this option will always be in demand.

Let's move on to the visual side. A person far from the technical side of the matter may think that all screens are the same. This is not true. Companies are investing impressive percentages of sales in developing their own technological solutions, seeking to bypass competitors. Each manufacturer has several flagship models, where scientific refinements have become practical. Here and a high frame rate, and excellent color rendering, and the density of pixels per inch, and the number of colors, and the response of the matrix, and so on. A common standard was the possibility to hang an LCD or plasma TV directly on the wall. One thing is certain. The implemented technologies have gone far ahead, but the content producers are significantly behind.

Still, the merging of TVs and computers is unlikely, otherwise it would have happened. If one person is more preferable to communicate in social networks holding a tablet, while another is more convenient to type dialogs on a desktop keyboard, then the third will need to learn news from the Internet lying on the couch. TV and computer will continue to complement each other in many aspects. But there is one worrying trend for both. It is to promote the technologies of virtual space, 3D glasses and means of manipulation in this environment. The introduction of such innovations will eliminate any production of panels of shared use (televisions, monitors).

The following conclusion is made. Under certain circumstances, no one will win, and there will be some losers. Those who win in time will shift their production lines to new rails.
