1. Offset of the roller. In some devices, only the part that is turned to the tray works more. The opposite is practically not loaded. As a result, the roller wears out unevenly. Therefore, you can try to turn it so that the whole and damaged parts are reversed.
2. Increase in diameter. If the roller is uniformly worn on all sides, then you have to remove it from the axis and wrap it with an insulating tape or tape. It is enough 2-3 turns, it is not necessary any more, since then diameter becomes too big. After such improvised repair the roller needs to be put back.

Both of these methods are not always possible to apply. And even less often they are effective. In addition, over time, the videos will still have to be changed.
