What is the criminal liability for gambling?

The gambling business is a developed gambling industry, it is, in its own way, a business that is aimed at making a profit from gambling. What is this activity? Gambling is an organization for the introduction of gambling, it can be a casino, and gambling halls, and sweepstakes, and bookmakers. Even before 2006, gambling was regulated by federal and local legislation. But at the end of the year, the Federal Law introduced amendments to the organization of this business. Already in 2007, restrictions began to exist on the existence of gambling in order to protect morals, legitimate interests and the rights of citizens. There was a criminal liability for gambling, which was aimed at all types of gambling, except for the lottery.

The federal law foresaw all the directions of this business, in the same subject it is not allowed to organize several gambling zones, perhaps only one. In addition, the criminal liability for gambling business extends not only to the owners of this craft, but also to people who are under 18 years of age.

Already in July 2011, the State Duma imposed such a concept as criminal liability for gambling, even on the one that is carried out on the Internet. It is strictly prohibited to conduct gambling that takes place outside the playing area, and it is also forbidden to use the Internet, information and telecommunications networks and mobile communications.

In addition, criminal liability for the gambling business provides for several options for liability - in the amount of 500 thousand rubles fine, imprisonment up to 4 years, restriction of freedom for 3 years or compulsory work for up to 240 hours. The fine, in turn, is associated with extracting a very large amount of income from a gaming organized group, they can be punished by imposing a fine of up to 1 million rubles, and can also be imprisoned for up to 6 years and, plus, to pay it A fine of about 500 thousand rubles.

In general, the law prohibiting gambling is the most optimal solution for punishing gambling business. Many people who are involved in this business, despair, lose very large financial resources, and sometimes mortgage personal belongings, cars, apartments and even their own business. Gambling is, in turn, a disease that must be treated with harsh methods. Therefore, criminal liability for gambling is necessary not only for Russia, but for other countries as well.

Also, with regard to the organization and holding of various lotteries, separate bills were also provided, amendments were made to the lottery. When the law on the banning of the gambling business came out, many gambling clubs that did not want to give up easy and huge profits allegedly closed the casino and opened lottery clubs in its place. What, it would seem, was wrong in this? But only that the lottery club was just a place to cover up gambling illegal business. Therefore, gambling clubs began to be regulated much more rigidly, and criminal liability for gambling business began to be imposed more severely.

Of course, not all authorities are law-abiding, and gambling gives huge opportunities to exceed its capital. That is why many people, including prosecutors, began to cover the gambling business. Corruption in Russia has always been and will be, prosecutors and gambling - this term is often found. It's no secret that corruption is a result of the prosperity of this craft. Policemen and prosecutors turn out to be involved in the gambling business, but the federal law will not ignore this important point.
