The word came to us from Latin and means "rotation, circulation". That is, in fact, we can use this term in all areas, one way or another connected with the exchange, movement. In most cases, the meaning of the word "rotation" means a process or an action that leads to a positive result.

What is the rotation of goods? This gradual removal of old goods from the market and the introduction of new ones. In practice, we can meet this phenomenon in every store. For example, when last year's collection of clothes is sold at a lower price, and replaced by models of this season.

The term "rotation" is also used in the chemical sciences, when as a result of mixing several elements we get one, but the most qualitative and effective.

We observe the rotation of power quite often. For example, during elections, when the new leadership of the country comes to replace the old, whether it is the president or political parties.

In the field of agriculture, rotation is understood as the turnover of seeds on one soil. For example, when different plants are grown on a plot of land at different times, which leads to an improvement in the quality of the soil and the plants themselves.

What is professional rotation? This is the horizontal social mobility of employees of one enterprise. Simply put, a person changes position, remaining working in the same company, but does not move up the career ladder. This rotation helps employees to learn new things and, therefore, become more functional. This contributes to better productivity.

In medicine, the term "rotation" is used to indicate the degree of mobility of joints.

However, it is most often used today in the field of show business. The issue of a song on the radio or television is a rotation. The frequency with which the song sounds shows how much the performer is popular among listeners or viewers. If a song can be heard three times in one hour, it means that the audience wants it, which means that the radio station will receive a higher rating. Consequently, advertisers who are willing to pay for their advertising, will choose this particular station, because it is popular.

The rotation of the song has long ceased to be free. If earlier, in order for your song to sound on the air, there was enough quality recording, and it's just that the melody was good, but today we also need money. Or, at least, the connection. By giving an unknown composition to the air, the company risks its own means. Therefore, she should be sure that the record is made at the highest level, so as not to undermine her credibility and meet the expectations of the audience.

Do not also be sure that if the song sounded in rotation for six months, then the performer has become famous for the rest of his days. Gradually, it is becoming less and less rated. Therefore, in order to maintain their place at the top of the charts, musicians need to work hard and constantly to please listeners with bright novelties.
