What is Printer Toner?

With each passing day, modern technologies are developing faster and faster. At the same time, the demand for printed products was constantly growing, which stimulated the invention of such a device as a printer.

Today, the most popular printer in this category is an inkjet printer that uses liquid ink for its work, as well as a laser printer that uses toner for the printer.

The difference between these two devices is quite large. First, it is the quality of the seal itself. Inkjet printer uses such ink, which are well soluble in water, and therefore unstable to moisture. Toner for a laser printer on the contrary, very well tolerates the impact of the environment, but the images made on such a device are much inferior in clarity and contrast to the products of the inkjet printer. That's why when it comes to photography or very high-quality printing of images, it is usually said about a printer in liquid ink.

Toners for laser printers in color printing of images or drawings practically do not use. Usually limited to minor color palettes or those images where the clarity of small details is not important.

However, in a situation with a large number of texts, the laser printer occupies a leading position. The fact is that the inkjet printer has a rather low speed of drawing the image, especially it becomes apparent when using tables or small drawings in texts. Typically, the toner for the printer is applied in areas, regardless of what it carries to the paper. At the same time, ink is required to be strictly distributed, so they are applied with strips, using a print head or cartridge. This process takes a considerable time, which is almost three times that of a laser printer.

Another major difference in this equipment is the cost of its consumables. Toner for a printer costs a little more than ink for refilling. However, if you translate its volume for the time spent and the number of pages received, it turns out that such a value is quite appropriate and justifies itself. Although this only applies to printing text pages in large numbers and small images. When using the color mode, the cost of the page increases compared to the inkjet printer several times.

Thus, the toner for the printer has proven itself in office work. Laser printing devices are used in large companies, government agencies and other instances where work with a large amount of documentation is required. Inkjet printer is usually used for artistic printing or for making photographs, and thanks to this versatility and inexpensive price for ink, it is readily purchased for home use.
