What is an ATM device?

An ATM is a device for issuing money and processing information. Any such device is connected to a computer center (such centers are called processing), which provides management of the entire ATM network of a particular bank.

What is the arrangement of ATMs and banking networks, how is the delivery of money carried out? At the moment when you inserted the card into the ATM, you entered a PIN-code and selected the appropriate operation for the issuance of cash, a processing request is sent to the processing. The computer center redirects it to the bank that issued the card. Processing provides the electronic transfer of the ordered amount from your account to your own. And only after that the command to issue money is sent from the computer center.

Now consider the internal arrangement of ATMs. Structurally, the device has two main parts: the user's (upper) and the safe (lower). For security reasons, the ATM device is organized in such a way that the safe depository is located in a place difficult to reach for intruders. In this regard, developed the design of devices, where the safe is separate from the user part. So, the front panel of the device can be on the street or inside the building, and the safe is always in the room behind the wall. These devices are called inter-wall. Such an ATM device (the photo below will help the reader to get an idea of such constructions) not only has increased security, but makes them convenient for collection. Also in the lower part of the device there is a dispenser - this is a device intended for the delivery of money. It is necessary to know that the device of ATMs provides two dispensers, the second is called a window for issuing banknotes. The money is loaded into the device in special cassettes, the volume of which can be from two to three thousand bills. Usually, the cassettes are filled in completely, so that you do not have to frequently service the device. Dispensers are configured to charge from two to five different denominations of banknotes. They even allow you to resize cells (width and length). When issuing cash, a bill from the cassette enters a special feeder, which is located near each cell. After that, it passes through a special device called Double Detect. It is intended for checking with the help of the sensors of the received banknote: whether it has the size and thickness, there are or there are no misalignments. If everything is in order, then the note gets into the storage device, called the stacker, and if not, it is dumped into the cassette. There usually get worn, ragged, stuck together, with folded edges of money, or banknotes in case of any failure, for example, power outages.

When the amount of money requested by the customer is typed in the stacker, it is submitted to the cash dispenser.

At the top of the cash dispenser is the entire electronic stuffing, in fact, it's a regular computer, a device for reading credit cards, a magazine and a receipt printer.

The device of an ATM of the Savings Bank does not differ from the device of the standard apparatus, the description of which is given in our article.
