We make two-level ceilings from plasterboard

When performing repairs in the apartment, each person has a natural desire to bring some zest to it. Someone makes arches, and someone-two- level ceilings from plasterboard. This kind of interior decoration is becoming more popular, so many may be interested in how to do it yourself. Let's figure it out.

Drywall is a material that allows you to hide any defects present on the ceiling. You can make simple or complex constructions from it. Two-level ceilings from plasterboard look great in a spacious room. These designs can be of different types. Some consist exclusively of straight-line components, while others may include curvilinear components. The most common option is a box that is located around the perimeter, and it has a backlight. Such ceilings assume the use of different types of fixtures. In these ceilings there is an opportunity to make a spectacular backlight, which can give the room a truly fantastic appearance in combination with some unusual range of colors.

To begin with, you need to say what you need for this. You should stock up the plasterboard, bypass metal profile, wide profile, joints and butterflies, the building level. To begin with, you must perform horizontal marking of the first level of the future ceiling to fix the bypass profile. It is necessary to draw a horizontal line along the perimeter of the room on the walls, the position of which should be determined by means of a building level.

Making two-level ceilings from gypsum board, it is important to perform all actions in a certain sequence. To begin with, the framework for the first level is assembled. You must attach a bypass profile to the previously marked on the wall of the line, and then fix it by means of screws. The bypass profile must be so fixed along the entire perimeter of the ceiling. After that, about sixty centimeters from the first profile, you need to insert a wide bypass profile into the grooves, fixing each of its ends with screws. The profile should be fixed not only along the edges, but also along the entire length, for which butterflies are used, which must be fixed to the ceiling along the length of the profile at approximately every fifty centimeters. After you bend the sides of butterflies, you need to attach a profile to them by means of screws. With the help of the building level, it is necessary to withstand the strict horizontal position of the profile. Further, having deviated from this profile of a half meter, you can fasten the following. This is done to the end of the ceiling. After fixing all the longitudinal profiles, you need to fix the cross sections, this is done also over the entire area of the ceiling. After you finish all these works, you should get a cellular structure.

As you understand, two-level ceilings from plasterboard consist of two levels, so now you must create a frame for the second one. You have to back off the necessary amount from the design collected earlier, marking it on the wall. Now you can fasten the bypass profile. You must do this as required by the intended design. All profiles are joined together by means of screws. At each stage it is necessary to check the level, as any inaccuracies can lead to negative consequences.

Now it's time to install the drywall on the ceiling. First you need to sew the first level of the ceiling, and then do the second. Screws should be twisted every ten centimeters in all profiles. After the work is done, you can do the puttying of the structure and decoration. This material is very convenient not only if you need to make ceilings. With gypsum board, for example, old wallpaper is easily torn off.
