We make soap to your taste - a master class from Julia Milstein

Hello. My name is Julia Milstein, I'm from Antipino (Tyumen) and I want to tell you about what an interesting and useful activity I found for myself.

The summer is gradually over, autumn is approaching, which will bring with it the longing, sadness and even despondency on the shoulders will plant. I think these are not the best feelings, and it's better to stay away from them. And in order to surely drive away bad thoughts from yourself, you need to do something interesting and original. Someone writes music, someone knits, but I cook soap. Imagine only how pleasant it is to wake up in the morning, go into the bathroom and feel your favorite scent of soap. Fantasy is limitless, I want vanilla-strawberry soap - I will do it, I lack chocolate in my life - yes, without any problems, I will do it.

Doing soap is easier than it might seem at first glance, just get the right ingredients and mix in the right proportion. I began to notice that soap making has gained quite a lot of popularity lately. It's not surprising, because homemade soap is cheaper than the store and, again, you choose the shape, color, smell. By the way, such a homemade product will be a good gift to friends, or close people. So I'll try to teach you how to make a simple soap. So, a master class from Yulia Milstyan with a photo.

What I use to create soap:

  • Knife, spoon.
  • Microwave.
  • Board for cutting.
  • Forms for filling.
  • Glass flasks that withstand high temperatures

And I take the following ingredients:

  • Transparent and matte warp.
  • Dye.
  • Aroma.
  • Oils (olive, or jojoba).
  • Ornaments.
  • Sprayer of alcohol.
  • Loofah

I want to talk a little about the soap base - the most important ingredient in soap making. Quality soap without this thing will not work. You can make a soap base yourself, but this can be difficult and additional ingredients will be required. Therefore, I advise you to buy the basis. The standard of quality is the English foundation. Not badly proved to be German. Fundamentals are transparent, white. Thanks to them, soap can be made in different colors, adding any patterns to it. Examples can be found in the Milstein group.

The process of creating soap from Milstein

I take suitable molds, put a piece of loofah on the bottom. I put pieces of a matte base in some form. To do this, I cut off the thin strips with a knife and roll into a tube. In empty forms, you can put coffee beans, some twigs, flowers. In general, on what imagination will suffice. After taking a now transparent base, cut it into cubes and put it in a glass flask. Then put in a microwave and heat. The main thing - do not allow the mixture to boil!

In the heated base I add dyes and aromatic oils of about 10-20 drops and oil. What kind of dyes - again a matter of taste. Now I carefully prevent everything and fill it with a mixture of form. You can pour molds to the brim, you can leave space to make soap from several layers. For this, I melt the white base, and pour it on top of the previous one. 30-40 minutes and soap is ready. As you see the creation of soap - it's not difficult. I like that you can improvise with flowers, layers, fragrances and stuff. Want to see what beautiful patterns can be done on soap - see the photos of my works in the group in vk. Thank you for your attention, I hope that my story was interesting. Do not be afraid and be sure to try to cook your own soap with a personal fragrance.

Always yours, Julia Milstyan
