Blame for everything - an explosion in a large hadronic collider (accelerator of charged particles), which happened as a result of some secret experiments conducted by physicists.

By the way, such a collider really exists in the European Council for Nuclear Research, which is located on the border of France and Switzerland, but, thank God, his fate differs from that which the writers came up with. During the film, we are hinted that the doctor of the ship Xenia Danilova (Julia Agafonova), who is a scientist-researcher, and the teacher of the bases of survival Herman Vorozhtsov (Ilya Lyubimov) are somehow connected with dangerous experiences . Both concluded a mysterious contract and sent to a ship with some secret mission.

The team discovers that it may have remained the only surviving group of people on Earth. The ship wanders around the ocean in search of an escaped islet. People experience pain, revise their views, rebel, fall in love, quarrel, help each other. All feelings turn out to be sharpened, and actions are decisive. The sailboat is attacked by the myriad flocks of hungry birds, then the mutant fish, and one day the motor decayed right over the volcano ready to erupt. The adventure in the film is more than enough, each part keeps the spectators in suspense, this probably explains the success of the movie "The Ship" on STS.
