Classification of ventilation grilles in the place of installation

Internal ventilation grilles with adjustable shutters, with fixed blinds and other variants of execution are a common element of the interior of our bathrooms and kitchens. The location of such grids is inside the room.

External ventilation grilles, the dimensions of which do not exceed 300 x 300 mm, are of various shapes and designs and serve to communicate the internal premises of buildings with external air. They are mounted on walls, pediments and other external elements of buildings.

Ventilation ventilation grilles that are closed and opened can be installed in buildings where the ventilation system is built differently. Such ventilation works by the principle of air flow from the room to the room. Having traveled along a certain route, air eventually ends up in the exhaust ventilation grilles, the dimensions of which depend on the size of the building, and through them outwards.

As a rule, a not very complex parallelogram mechanism allows to change the level of the slope of all the blinds, simultaneously opening or, if desired, blocking the flow of air. There are more sophisticated mechanisms in co-axial execution.

There is also an inertial construction. The simplest option is when the blinds are in a vertical position, completely blocking the flow of air under the influence of gravity. If there is no difference in pressures in the communicating cavities (rooms), the airflow is completely blocked, but as soon as the air comes into motion, the louver under its influence is raised, launching the exhaust system into operation. Blinds can be opened on both sides or only in one, serving as a kind of valve.

Materials used in manufacturing

It is possible to produce a ventilation grille with adjustable shutters or fixed ones from a variety of materials, depending primarily on the intended installation site.

Classics, of course, is plastic. This is primarily due to the practicality of this material. Plastic perfectly withstands any natural disasters, without fear of heat or cold, it is remarkably mounted both by mechanical fasteners and glue compositions.

More expensive options for gratings are metal. A simpler and more practical option is aluminum. Lattices made of cast iron or bronze look beautiful and stylish on the facade of the cottage, but also the cost of their respective.

Ventilation grilles made of wood are now used less and less. The choice of this material is due most often to considerations of decor. This option looks harmoniously on the building from a round wood or a building, finished with a block house.

Ventilation grilles: dimensions and shapes

Constructions of round (coaxial), elliptical, other forms occur infrequently. Ventilation grill with adjustable rectangular blinds is the most common and most practical option.

Dimensions of coaxial structures are determined by a single digit - diameter. The dimensions of rectangular grids are the width and height. Here, for example, a number of standard sizes of aluminum outdoor ventilation.

In order to avoid confusion when choosing a grating, one should take into account the fact that the landing size means precisely the geometric parameters of the product, and not the height and width of the opening.
