VAZ-217030: technical characteristics and possible malfunctions
At one time, VAZ 217030 (Lada Priora) was the real flagship of AvtoVAZ. The car represents a kind of continuation of the tenth family. Naturally, the "Priora" differs significantly from the "ten". And let this machine does not hold out to foreign competitors, it is loved and appreciated at home.
History of the model
VAZ-217030 is a revised and modernized model of VAZ-2110, which in 2007 was removed from the assembly line. Exterior
VAZ-217030 was created as a deep restyling VAZ-2110. First of all designers tried to remove excessive weight near the rear axle. Soon it became clear that without a dramatic change in front and behind the new model will not work. A banal replacement of a bumper or optics will not solve the problem, and the heaviness in the shape of a car can not be removed. The body seemed "heavy" due to the low rear wheel arches and the rear bumper, which vertically connected with the rear wing. Designers tried to increase the wheel arches and make a bumper behind, which ran from the rear edge of the car to the wheel arches. Interior
Italian designers worked on the interior design. Interior VAZ-217030 in those years looked quite tolerable. But as the finishing materials used inexpensive materials. Judging by the reviews, the level of assembly of the cabin was very poor.
Dashboard
Here, experts from the Italian studio changed everything beyond recognition. In the central part is now an on-board computer. It was substantially modified. There is an electronic odometer, a fuel consumption sensor (medium and instantaneous), a clock, an average speed and other data. Button for opening the trunk for some reason moved to the central tunnel, closer to the selector gearbox. The luggage compartment is quite large. Its useful volume is as much as 430 liters. You can open it from the salon, or from the alarm transmitter. There is no separate button on the trunk lid. Depending on the configuration, in the center console can be located radio. On newer versions, "Priora" install multimedia systems with touch displays. The keys for operating the power window are now located on the doors, and not on the central tunnel, as before. Power point
As a motor, the already familiar eight-valve VAZ-21116 engine was used. It is capable of delivering 90 horsepower. Also in the line there is a 16-valve VAZ-21126 engine with a capacity of 98 "horses". In the engine design, various parts and components of foreign production were used. Due to this, it was possible to significantly increase the overall service life of power units. So, a new, lightweight piston-piston group from Federal Mogul was used. Timing belt, as well as a tension roller to it manufactured by Gates. The manufacturer claims that the resource of the kit is more than 200 thousand km. In the maximum configuration car VAZ-217030 comes with a 1.8-liter engine capacity of 120 hp. This version was offered by the company "Super-Auto". But there are very few such specimens. Transmission
