Ureaplasma: symptoms

The disease does not appear immediately. Ureaplasma, the symptoms of which we will consider, can manifest only a month after infection. In principle, in some cases, the incubation period can last even up to six months. Basically, everything depends on the individual characteristics of the infected person. The incubation period is very specific. Its specificity is that, then the person has not yet manifested symptoms, but he has already become a source of infection. Unprotected sexual intercourse leads to an immediate infection of the partner. Otherwise, this disease is called ureaplasmosis.

After the end of the incubation period, the first indistinct symptoms appear. It is important to note that many do not take them seriously. For this reason, many consult a doctor only when the disease begins to progress.

In women, the disease often occurs without symptoms at all. Some of them may even be carriers for ten years, completely unaware of this.

It is also important to note that in some cases the symptoms of ureaplasmosis are confused with the symptom of any inflammatory infections affecting the genito-urinary tract.
