Ukrainian boxer Gvozdik Alexander

The beginning of sports life

His father from the earliest childhood told him that boxing is the best sport for a man. Despite this, the first sport in the life of Alexander was kickboxing. But he stayed there for a short while and after six months left training. When he was 10 years old, he began to attend training of the famous boxing coach Alexander Volodchenko in the club "Metalist".

The first big success in the boxing ring was the victory in the boxing championship among students in 2008. Starting next year, Gvozdik was the undisputed champion in his weight category and many times won in various competitions in the country. After winning the Ukrainian Championships, in 2010 he decided to participate in the European Championships. He managed to win these competitions, which added popularity to the young athlete.

The Olympic Games have brought popularity

Carnation Alexander continued to work hard and in 2012 he was selected to participate in the Olympic Games. Despite the bright victories, he could only reach the semi-finals and, after conceding a boxer from Kazakhstan, took a bronze award.

Professional career

The last victory at the amateur competitions for the boxer was the victory at the Summer Universiade in 2013, which was held in the city of Kazan.

In the professional ring, Alexander Gvozdik is today unbeatable. Of the five fights, all were won, and four of them were held with representatives of the United States. Experts of the boxing world call the fights of Alexander Gvozdik interesting, but too short to fully appreciate all his skill.

The next victory for Alexander was the fourth fight in the professional ring against Otis Griffin. The opponent twice appeared on the floor of the ring in the sixth round after having missed powerful attacks against the body of the Ukrainian boxer, and the American team decided to end the fight by TKO.

Gvozdik Alexander last fight in a professional career held in Bloomfield (USA) against Corey Cummings. The battle was especially spectacular and full of bright moments. Despite the good shape of the American boxer, already in the second round he three times managed to fall into the ring. It looked like a beating baby.

Unsuccessful fight

Alexander was to meet in the ring with Rowland Bryant, a boxer from the United States, April 11, 2015. Experts from the boxing world were waiting for this duel because of the entertainment that two fighters could give to the audience. The fight was to be held in Texas, USA. But Rowland said about the injury, which he received during the preparation for the battle. The battle was postponed indefinitely.
