Treatment of tubo-otitis: a gradual cure of pathology

Before choosing an alternative treatment for tubootitis, it is necessary to clarify that this disease characterizes the catarrhal exacerbation of the mucosa of the middle ear, which progresses against the background of an imbalance in the auditory tube. In order to fully understand why this disease develops, it is necessary to reliably identify all the pathogenic factors that preceded it. So, the cause of tubootitis is the entry of pathogens into the upper respiratory tract, where they spread into the tympanum and auditory tube. Such infection in most clinical cases is observed with cold and flu, in the child's organism, the pathology progresses against the background of measles, whooping cough, scarlet fever and diphtheria, as well as those infections that are directly related to the upper respiratory tract. In addition, the pathogenic factor is streptococci, viruses, staphylococci.

However, this is not all, because tubo-otitis is "subject" to sharp changes in atmospheric pressure; A similar phenomenon is typical for flight on an airplane, as well as when performing direct duties of divers and submariners. Also, the presence of adenoids and nasopharyngeal tumors in the patient, which, in turn, disrupts the habitual permeability of the pharyngeal opening of the auditory tube, also has to infect. The pathological process is accompanied by the compaction of the mucosa of the auditory tube, which leads to a significant reduction in pressure in it, dysfunction of ventilation of the drum space and fluid drainage from the blood vessels.

Extremely unpleasant disease tubo-otitis, the symptoms of which have their own characteristics and specifics. First of all, the patient feels a sharp decrease in hearing, sometimes there is a sense of its congestion or dominant noise.

Treatment of tubootitis is possible only after detailed clinical diagnosis. So, the final diagnosis is approved based on the clinical picture, history, audiometry, otoscopy results, as well as auditory auditory function. Only after all the performed "procedures" is possible the detection of the disease and its further productive treatment, the main task of which is to restore the earwork's efficiency of the auditory tube. So, the treatment of tubootitis involves the use of vasoconstrictive nasal sprays to reduce the inflammation of the mucosa of the auditory tube mouth and antihistamines, as well as recommended physiotherapy procedures, including UHF and microwave therapy.

After the acute relapses disappear, it is necessary to proceed to the next stage of effective healing, which consists of ear blowing and pneumomassage, where the latter helps to eliminate the transudate from the tympanic cavity. To obtain the expected result, it is sufficient to simply introduce through the catheter the designated proteolytic enzymes and glucocorticoid hormones into the auditory tube and the drum space. In addition, electrostimulation is often used, which will settle the lumen of the auditory tube and normalize the work of the muscles.

If bilateral tubo-otitis is diagnosed, all medical procedures are aimed at unlocking the auditory tube, sanation of the nasopharynx, and for this purpose it is advisable to wash the nose, take vasoconstrictive drops in the nose, and also local antiseptics. After the course of treatment, impedance audiometry is necessary to finally make sure that everything is in order with the middle ear.

In general, with the right medical approach and the implementation of all the recommendations of a specialist, the clinical prognosis is quite positive. The main thing is not to delay the treatment of tubootitis, otherwise the disease will acquire a chronic form with lifelong treatment and sad consequences.
