The wooden floor is, above all, environmentally friendly and extremely comfortable. Therefore, there are few people who would not have in their apartment this beautiful natural flooring.

True, many of us, hearing about wooden floors, immediately for some reason represent a creaky, humpbacked, nailed to huge log nails, covered with many layers of poor-quality paint in the floor in old apartments. And very few people know that a modern floor covering made of wood is not only a massive board, but a parquet board and a piece of parquet. All these types of wooden floors differ from each other in cost, way of laying and appearance, but they are all extremely attractive, practical and durable.

A massive board is made of different types of wood - the more valuable the wood, the higher the cost of this material. Since this board is extremely thick, the floor covering from it turns out to be reliable, respectable and durable. From a massive board, you can easily make a wooden floor with your own hands, and the various upgrade options are simply limitless. It can be looped many times, after which the coating acquires its original appearance, painted with varnish or various modern paints. In addition, it makes sense to think about how to put the tile on a wooden floor, if it really has become worthless - the boards will serve as an excellent basis. However, before such a total restoration, the matter may not come up, because modern floorboards are not just dried before selling, but also undergo special heat treatment, which significantly increases the service life of the floor.

Parquet flooring is a set of laths of the same size, which are laid on the base close to each other. Piece parquet can be laid out in various ways, and if you use slats from different types of wood, then you can create a variety of ornamental compositions. It was such artistic parquet floors, made by folk craftsmen, were in many palaces of Russian tsars. They, by the way, still please tourists visiting their museums with their magnificent appearance, which testifies to the extraordinary wear resistance and durability of this material.

The wooden floor, made of a parquet board, is somewhat similar to laminate floors. But this similarity is only external, because the parquet board is made only of wood, just its lower layers are made of less valuable wood or plywood, so this flooring has an affordable price. The front part of the board is made of the same materials as the piece parquet, which, in fact, gives this floor a very presentable and elegant appearance.

From whatever material the wooden floor has been made, it can decorate the interior of any room. The only thing that I would like to caution against is the purchase of a substandard product. The tree, being a natural material, is predisposed to various deformations, especially under the influence of moisture. Therefore, if the technology of production was violated in the manufacture of the floorboard or parquet, the tree was not sufficiently dried or the rules for storing the goods were not observed, then the risk of acquiring a poor-quality product is very, very likely.

The most unpleasant thing in this situation is that it will be possible to see this only after some time, when the finished floor covering will begin to crack and deform. For this reason, the material for wooden flooring is best purchased only from well-known manufacturers, well-established in the market of building materials and having positive feedback from grateful consumers.
