The resort town of Maspalomas on the island of Gran Canaria

Maspalomas, the largest resort town on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, can simultaneously accommodate more than three hundred thousand tourists. This is one of the most popular resorts of all, located in the Canary Islands.

Rest in Spain at the resort of Maspalomas has long been very attractive for tourists from all over the world thanks to the mild climate that allows you to swim in the Atlantic Ocean all year round. The city is located on the southern side of the mountain range, which divides the island of Gran Canaria into two parts: southern and northern. Thus, Maspalomas is reliably protected from the northern cold winds. The average air temperature throughout the year here is about 23 degrees Celsius. Water in the ocean does not cool down even in the winter months, because it is strongly heated by warm underwater currents.

Tours to Spain in Maspalomas are popular among tourists of all ages. This is a very large resort, on its square there are more than five hundred hotels, forty large tourist complexes and more than a dozen beaches. Therefore, tourists with different preferences find here classes to taste. For the youth in the city hundreds of restaurants, bars, cafes, discotheques and shops are built, for people who prefer a quiet rest, special tourist complexes with all necessary infrastructure are provided. For family couples with children, the resort can offer to visit the largest aqua park in the entire Canary archipelago. On the territory of the water park there are 32 slides, 10 of which are made specially for children, more than ten pools of different depths, several cafes and a mini-cinema. In addition to the water park, families with children can visit the huge amusement park "Holiday World". On an area of 15,000 square meters it is very difficult not to find entertainment for yourself. The most important attraction here is the Ferris wheel, whose height is 30 meters.

Maspalomas' very strong side is his cleanest sandy beaches. The total length of the coastline of the resort is 11 kilometers. Most of the tourists prefer the dune beach of Playa de Maspalomas. This small piece of Sahara, an area of 3 square kilometers, is the "calling card" of the resort. Its only drawback is that it is not equipped. That's why tourists who come to rest with children, bypass it, they have a large selection of other equipped beaches.

In addition, here tourists have the opportunity to "sweeten" their beach vacation in Spain with active kinds of water sports. On the western beaches of Maspalomas, where winds still manage to penetrate, actively take classes in surfing and windsurfing, diving and underwater fishing. All necessary equipment for this is offered by nearby shops and diving schools. Tourists will be able to go on a boat trip and parachute from any other beach, except the Playa de Maspalomas. Golf lovers will find a golf course within the city, which is the largest on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria.

As for the price policy of the resort, the tours to Spain in Maspalomas are not that expensive. The cost of recreation here will be cheaper than, for example, in Tenerife.

I wish you a pleasant journey, dear tourist!
