The red line in the Word: how to work with it?
Those users who are just starting to work with the program "Microsoft Office Word", are faced with an interesting question about how to indent the red line in the "Word". In order for the text to turn out to be beautiful and easy to read, you must format it, or rather use some tools that are present on the panel. If the text is too large, then it must necessarily be divided into paragraphs, as a rule, each paragraph should start with a red line. To put it more clearly, then the first word in the new paragraph should have an indentation relative to the paragraph itself. Today we will talk about what the red line in the Word is for, and how to execute it in this program.
How?
Method 1
«2010»
Let's look at the sliders that are on the left side, there are only three of them there. The lower slider should be in the form of a rectangle, it can be used to create a left indent. It is this slider that will be responsible for placing text about the left edge. The red line in Word 2010 is installed in much the same way as in older and newer versions, so the now-mentioned option is suitable for this version of the program. The upper slider, which is located on the left side, will have the appearance of a triangle with a vertex pointing down (inverted), this slider is designed to indent the first line. It is with this slider that you can install a red line in new paragraphs. In this case, when you create each paragraph, you will already have a red line in automatic mode. Now pay attention to the markers, which are also located on the ruler. The indentation marker for the first line should be set slightly to the right of the left indent marker. In this case, you will get that the indent of the first line will be about one and a half centimeter to the right of the left margin. After doing all of the above, the red line in the "Word" will be installed automatically, and if necessary, you can independently adjust the indentation.
