The procession around Ukraine was held. No matter what

Now the Ukrainian media are talking about some unsuccessful attempt by the Kremlin to break stability in the country. The religious procession, which was going to be canceled, was not allowed to go to Kiev, but it took place, without any special incidents, and due to its large number, no one began to attack him. Although they were willing, they expressed their intentions with utmost clarity.

The course of the Moscow Patriarchate

On June 29, on the blessing of the Metropolitan of Kiev Onufriy, the All-Ukrainian Religious Procession began. Its participants prayed for a peaceful resolution of the confrontation, which is otherwise called an antiterrorist operation or a civil war, depending on how much the views of the person reasoning on this subject are close to the position of the highest leaders of the state. The course went to the capital on two sides, from the west and east, from the Pochaev Lavra and Kharkov. In it, despite the very hot weather, up to one hundred thousand people, of different ages, including children, took part. This prayer by the whole world immediately became a subject of discussion in society and even condemnation by those who, too close to their foolishness, took to heart the flattering speeches of certain pastors about their specialness. Most of all the nationalists were infuriated by the belonging of the lay faithful and clergymen to the Moscow Patriarchate.

Media Coverage

The religious procession immediately exposed several vices of the current regime in Kiev. First, lies. On TV and in news blogs, unsubstantiated rumors were circulating about participation in an event "inspired by the Kremlin", some special forces, "LRN-DPR fighters", prepared saboteurs who planned terrorist acts with the aim of notorious destabilization. There was practically no information directly from the participants in the course, but there were widely broadcast cuts of materials that had nothing to do with the prayer procession. When it became clear that the move would not stop, there were pickets of "activists" who openly advocated for its power dispersal. However, the beating of the elderly, women and children, who constituted a significant part of the faithful, would be a too scandalous episode for the authorities, and then ...

Dangerous Finds

And then the Minister of Internal Affairs Avakov announced that the procession to Kiev would not be allowed. And the authorities will be guided not by the categories of "rituals", but by the priorities of security. It was said in relation to the representatives of the largest religious community in Ukraine - the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate has the largest number of parishioners. The reason for this decision was the discovery on the route of several mysterious bookmarks, which were models of explosive devices. Who hid them and how they were found, apparently, will remain a mystery for a long time. The search was demonstratively attracted by dogs and even a small robot on caterpillars, "dangerous objects" destroyed before the objectives of the cameras as if accidentally caught by journalists nearby. And the average inhabitant could only marvel at the tricks of the "Moscow priests" who planned to kill themselves and their parishioners with fake mines and bombs. However, Ukrainian citizens are not accustomed to such oddities.

The ambush in Borispol

On the approach to Kiev, in Boryspil, in the best traditions of the genre, there appeared an "outraged public", that is, representatives of some abstract people, angered by the idea of the Moscow Patriarchate, who persuaded a "certain part" of the parishioners not to pray for victorious Ukrainian weapons, but for the peaceful end of civil strife. There were fighters of volunteer battalions, who apparently did not find employment in the ATU zone, so they decided to fight on the "invisible front", armed with chicken eggs, which they hoped to impress the adversaries in the form of praying old ladies. The participants of the procession were invited to bypass Borispol in order to avoid provocation, and the fact that they are expected from the part of the "activists", the representatives of the National Guard and the police themselves obviously did not doubt. For the sake of importance, the members of the national organization "Self-defense of Kiev", wearing black ones, apparently hoping with their terrible form and intimidating tattoos depicting skulls and stylized swastikas, intimidate believers, joined the procession.

Psychological pressure

The second most important after the falsity of the vice of today's Kiev authorities is her hope for mediocre performers. The questions that sounded to the participants of the All-Ukrainian Crusade, if they could confuse them, were only frank absurdities and naive nationalistic stupidity.

"Why are you going to Kiev, and not to Moscow?" - "Yes, because we pray for peace in Ukraine."

"Why do not you go to Russia?" - "Why should we?"

"Why do not you go to the church of the Kyiv Patriarchate?" - "But because there is none"

These and similar dialogues arose frequently, some exalted ladies pestered them both to the priests and to the parishioners. They were not always given the answer, but the participants always showed restraint. It is difficult to explain something to people who are far from the church life, but are confident that everyone understands better than everyone.

Precautionary measures

In the city, to protect against possible provocations, five thousand siloviki were stolen, including bicycles. Religious procession, in spite of Avakov's promise, went through Kiev. Of the approximately one hundred thousand believers who took part in it in general, about 10 thousand people moved along the streets of the capital. Of course, there were traffic jams, but somebody could not get to work on time, but no one was disturbed. Khreshchatyk was completely blocked, law enforcers installed magnetic detectors in a latticed fence, and through them the cross-goers passed for a long time to the Vladimir hill, where a prayer service for peace subsequently began. Then the believers went to the laurel.

Who was caught?

No, the Pskov paratroopers were not found. The media reported allegedly found four knives and scraps of steel pipes, but police chief Dekanoidze denied this information. Four soldiers of the volunteer battalion "Sich" were not allowed to attend the moleben, for fear, obviously, that they wanted to penetrate there not entirely for good purposes. Why did they seek there? Probably, soon the volunteers will tell about it, if they are, of course, asked. Neither explosives nor casts were found. Apparently, all was spent on the way.

Two small groups of people from among the opposing sides were detained, with obviously provocative placards insulting the feelings of believers.

Apparently, the authorities, when they want, can quite control extremists, most recently on television cameras that promised to beat the participants in the procession, praying not in the way they like.

Results

Thank God, during the All-Ukrainian Crucession there were no tragedies, no one was killed or mutilated, although many of the events preceding and accompanying the procession could become a reason for gloomy forebodings. The authorities took the "event" cautiously and hostilely for a simple reason: any mass gathering of people they perceive as a manifestation of protest. In fact, people have gone through a difficult path in the hope of God's help, because to rely on the situation in which the country turned out to be, remains only for him. There were indeed many elderly pilgrims among the pilgrims, they had a hard time, sometimes they let their health down.

It remains to be hoped that the prayers of the ascetics will be heard. And about the world, and about the admonition.
