Small and compact car "Oka", or VAZ 1111 appeared for the first time at AvtoVAZ and Volzhsky plants in 1989 and was to become an affordable, popular and economical family car. Developers of "Oka" designed a practical budget model for people of average income. The small car was produced in a variety of modifications - a social one for disabled people with a liter engine, a sports car with an electric drive and a reinforced suspension, and a small car cost was achieved with a modest interior equipment. Initially, the "Oka" was released with a simple engine of 30 horsepower, in the future, the model came off the assembly line in 33 hp. And 53 hp "Oka", the characteristics of which are functional: suspension independent, hydraulic, front disc brakes, rear drum, front suspension and clutch drive - cable, ideal for city bustle and trips to the country. The dimensions of the car allow parking in even the most inconvenient and small places, maneuvering in the city traffic of cars - the length of the Oka is 3.2 m, the width is 1.42 m, the height is 1.4 m and the weight is only 645 kg. The engine "Oka", the characteristics of which are not particularly powerful, is simple and accessible in service. The car was withdrawn from production in 2008.

Characteristics of the vehicle "Oka"

"Oka" is a front-drive four-seat hatchback with three doors and a four-speed gearbox. Its engine is located transversely, it is two-cylinder, with a working volume of 750 cc. The total permissible weight of the car is 975 kg. A modest wheelbase of 218 cm and a front wheel of 121 cm are compensated for by a good ground clearance of 15 cm. The Oka accelerates to 100 km / h in 30 seconds, and its maximum speed is 130 km / h. In the cabin of the car four middle-aged people can easily fit in, and the luggage compartment can be increased by folding the rear seats. At one time, the plants produced a rather popular modification of the Oka car, the characteristics of which differ only by a slightly more powerful engine of 63 horsepower, but there were quite a few differences in appearance. This is a car with the name "Dinara", with the original shape of the front bumper and grille, thanks to which the body has a more aesthetic look. There was a modification in the production of Electro, which operated on an electric drive, it functioned silently and non-toxic. In general, the "Oka", whose characteristics are modest, but functional and practical, very rarely needs repair, and if such a need arises, repairs are very cheap. "Oka" is an excellent means of transportation around the city.

Pros and cons of the car

To the pluses of the model VAZ 1111, you can undoubtedly include an unusually low fuel consumption, only 3.2 liters per 100 km and excellent maneuverability in the flow of cars. Despite the modest dimensions of the car, if you fold the rear seats, the luggage compartment becomes very roomy, almost the same as with any conventional sedan. The interior is equipped with a good stove and convenient steering wheel, the clutch pedal is soft. The most important advantage of "Oka" is, of course, unpretentiousness in use, low price of spare parts and simplicity of repair.

Of the disadvantages of the car - the lack of sound insulation, short seats and the absence of rear doors, the second row is extremely inconvenient to climb with such compact dimensions.

Small-budget budget car "Oka", the characteristics of which are ideal for urban roads, is characterized by good controllability, maneuverability, economy. VAZ 1111 is the cheapest and affordable car of the domestic automotive industry in the class of cars.
