The art of depiction is the most ancient kind of man's creative activity, accompanying him for thousands of years. Even in prehistoric times, an ancient person drew animal figurines, giving them magical powers.

The main types of fine arts - painting, graphics and sculpture. In their work, artists use various materials and techniques, creating in a very special way artistic images of the surrounding world. Painting uses for this all the richness of colors and shades, graphics - only a game of shadows and strict graphics of lines, the sculpture creates three-dimensional palpable images. Painting and sculpture, in turn, are divided into easel and monumental. Stank works are created on special machines or easels for chamber display at exhibitions or in halls of museums, and monumental works of painting and sculpture adorn the facades or walls of buildings and squares of cities.

Types of fine art - this is also decorative and applied art, which often acts as a synthesis of painting, graphics and sculpture. The art of decorating household items sometimes differs in such fiction and originality that it loses its utilitarian function. Objects of everyday life, created by talented artists, occupy places of honor at exhibitions and museum halls.

Painting

Painting to this day occupies one of the priority places in artistic creation. This is an art that is subject to much. With the help of a brush and paints, it is able to convey most fully all the beauty and diversity of the visible world. Each image created by the artist is not only a reflection of external reality, it contains deep inner content, feelings, emotions of the creator, his thoughts and experiences.

Color and light are the two main means of artistic expression in painting, but the technician works a lot. This painting is oil paints, watercolor, gouache, pastel, tempera. The picturesque techniques include mosaic and stained glass art.

Graphic arts

Graphics - a kind of fine art, which, compared with painting, does not seek to convey the entire colorful fullness of the surrounding world, its language is more conditional, symbolic. A graphic image is a graphic created by a combination of lines, spots and strokes predominantly of one black color, sometimes with a limited use of one or more additional colors - most often red.

Graphics can be applied and easel. Applied graphic works differ from easel ones in that their purpose is quite specific and definite. Thus, the book graphics is designed to illustrate literary works and decorate books, the poster serves for certain propaganda and information purposes, a caricature and a newspaper and magazine drawing are specially drawn for the purposes of periodicals, and industrial graphics are used to design goods and for advertising purposes.

Sculpture

Sculpture as an art form has very specific characteristics. The main one is that the sculptural image is three-dimensional, three-dimensional. The object for the image in the sculpture is, as a rule, a person, or an animal. With this are related and genre features of this art: a statue or a bust, a group composition, an animalistic genre. A statue is a man sculpted by a sculptor in full growth, sometimes with household, story elements. A bust is a portrait of a person on the chest. Group composition depicts a group of people connected by single plastic movements and plot. This can be an image of a domestic scene, a historical or mythological plot. Animalistic sculpture depicts an animal, and the most important thing here is the sculpture's movements, plastics and grace, subtly noticed by the sculptor.

Types of fine art exist in parallel, but at the same time closely intertwined with each other. They are a reflection of the artistic consciousness of society, a specific historical period of its development.
