Japanese robot: modern developments and achievements

Fans of the Land of the Rising Sun know firmly that if there is a state in the world in which technology is not inferior to people by any parameter, then this is Japan. The production of robots began here in 1986 and does not stop until now, successfully developing and capturing the market.

Androids

Japanese androids are a true work of art. Designers are so carried away by their creation that in recent times it has become increasingly difficult to distinguish a robot from a living person. These mechanical people dance, laugh, talk, support meaningful dialogues and even master facial expressions!

However, in the Land of the Rising Sun in this field there are serious competitors - Koreans. Their androids move more slowly, but they are much more ergonomic and skillful. This led to the fact that a few years ago the Japanese created an extremely realistic robot girl. She could talk and gesticulate, but at that moment only the upper part of her body came into motion.

To date, the state of affairs has changed. Such androids gradually replace the living attendants, as the society highly approves of such modernization. Examples include a mechanical news speaker from one of Tokyo's television channels or a sales consultant in a cosmetics store.

Such a robot girl is almost indistinguishable from a living person, moreover, she not only attracts new consumers and customers, but really works. Starting from last year, any large company that wants to replace a pretentious employee with an android can purchase it online by choosing the optimal model among those offered on the Web.

Unpretentious pets

Japan is known not only for its androids - no less popular are robot companions, made in the form of pets familiar to all. They are designed for children and elderly single people who do not have the opportunity to have an animal to take care of it.

In addition to dogs and cats (performed very realistically), imitating the behavior of this four-footed friend, there are much more interesting mechanical pets. For example, the seal of Paro, designed for the social rehabilitation of the elderly. This Japanese robot looks like a children's toy and can perform a number of actions, and it is equipped with sensors that react to touch. Paro can be compared with Tamagotchi - he, too, needs care and constant attention. The experience of its use showed a positive dynamics of the state of the elderly.

Aid assistance

Japan is known for its traditions, in which a respectful attitude towards elders is far from the last. Thanks to this, a lot of gadgets were invented, including a variety of robots. For example, a housekeeper-visually she does not resemble a person, but precisely imitates his movements and is able to perform simple functions like "bring-back" without dropping the desired object.

But the special respect is enjoyed by robotic Japanese vacuum cleaners - they literally capture the world. It came to the point that Europeans give the technology human names, equating it to a pet. However, this is explained by the technology of the equipment - if a person stops paying attention to it, the vacuum cleaner, in turn, will boycott the garbage.

This Japanese robot is popular only in European countries. The country of the rising sun has long enjoyed the android Vakamaru. He is able not only to lead a household, but also to distinguish his owners by persons, to protect the house, warning of attempts to break into, and even to remind of the planned cases, since the robot's vocabulary includes about 15 thousand words.

Caring for the sick

The percentage of the elderly population in Japan is steadily growing. These people need care, which they can not provide for the relatives, absorbed in the work, and it is they who are sent most medical development.

Particularly useful are several of them: the exoskeleton from the company Honda (the seal of Paro is the work of their hands) and robot-nurse Riba. Development from Honda is an auxiliary device for walking. It serves to facilitate the rehabilitation period in traumas and serious fractures that threaten lameness, providing an optimal load on the limb without a pain syndrome.

The Japanese robot-nurse is called upon to replace a person in this difficult position. His main job is to help disabled wheelchair users to change seats from chairs to other pieces of furniture. It is equipped with a variety of sensors and sensors that control behavior and prevent emergencies (collision or fall).

International exhibition of robots of Japan

Every year in Tokyo, a demonstration of achievements in the field of robotics. Such exhibitions attract multimillion audience, of which some of the visitors are permanent. Usually it is not only representatives of various firms, but also ordinary people, captivated by the savvy and imagination of the Japanese.

This year, an exhibition of robots for medical care was held, where a lot of entertaining devices were presented.

Technological boom

About the main benefits have already been told, but what is the reason for this breakthrough? It's simple: the country's demography depends on the standard of living in it. In part, this is tied to instincts, because the worse the conditions, the stronger the need to leave offspring, protecting your family from extinction.

Japan is a very developed state, therefore, the birth rate is rather low, and the number of aging population is growing every year, as is the need for self-development among young people. More and more people want to use their intellectual and creative potential, because of which there is a shortage of workers in the service sector. In fact, the Japanese robot android is designed to replace a person in an unclaimed post.

It is worth mentioning that this has been happening for a long time in most civilized countries, but immigrants work for them, willing to work for pennies, just to get out of their wilderness. But Japan is not one of them, because it honors history and traditions, and people's memory is several times longer than in other states. Two centuries ago, a foreigner would simply be silently slaughtered on the road, not bowing out to the public, because the Land of the Rising Sun had for a very long time adhered to the policy of closed doors. Of course, today the population of Japan is much more friendly to "gaijin" (foreigners), but few are willing to hire them, and only in the case of the candidate's exclusivity.
