The lotus position calms the nervous system!

What is yoga? There are quite a lot of opinions on this issue, and they are quite diverse, but in one they all agree that this is a rather multifaceted teaching, the purpose of which is to control the internal state and the body shell as a single mechanism.

Despite the fashion that has engulfed the whole world, after all, many famous people are engaged in yoga, it is necessary to understand that the highest degree - samadhi, can be achieved only after the complete purification of the soul, therefore during the lessons it is necessary to reject all worldly thoughts and experiences.

In yoga, several tools are used, which together lead to the desired state, such as meditation, musical accompaniment, and, of course, asanas. The latter, training the body, help to lose weight and improve posture.

The most popular pose of yoga, the so-called padmasana, is the lotus position. This asana is great for meditation, because thanks to this position, you can control your breathing, throwing away all thoughts. The lotus flower, in honor of which the pose is named, symbolizes complete tranquility and harmony with the outside world. In order for the lotus position to be useful and help in learning the doctrine, it is necessary to know how to sit in the lotus position.

To perform asanas sitting on the floor, we put the right foot on the thigh of the opposite leg, and the left one, on the contrary, is crossed and stacked symmetrically on the right. Feet should look at the stomach. Such a pose should be carried out easily, because it is one of the simplest and most common in the teaching. Then we fix the body in this position and meditate.

The lotus position is the most popular among the presented in yoga, due to the fact that with simple execution, it allows to completely relax the consciousness of yoga, and also normalize the respiratory and nervous system.

As stated earlier, the yoga teachings should not only affect a certain part of the body, but also internal organs. For this, symkhasana is quite popular - the lion's pose. Yoga in this pose develops our nasopharynx, thus, training the tongue and protecting our throat from colds. If you learn to correctly perform such an exercise, you can strengthen the overall immunity of the body, and, like when doing lotus pose, improve breathing in general.

Simhasana is performed in this way. First the tongue bends in the mouth, towards the back wall and rests against the sky. At this time, the head of the performer should be tilted and pressed tightly to the chest. This is how you can cure tonsillitis, improve the functioning of the thyroid gland and increase salivation. This is due to the tension of the throat muscles, which, when exercising, do not allow the disease to take possession of the nasopharynx.

Another important pose is sawasana, which yoga is used after all the asanas. Its meaning lies in the complete relaxation of the body, that is, all muscles and consciousness must at this time rest, because in translation such a position means "corpse". Do not be scared, because the whole teaching of yoga is based on the complete rest of the body, and it is necessary to learn not only to relax the body in such a way that you do not feel the tension in any muscle, but also completely get rid of the pressing problems for the period of meditation.

In conclusion, I would like to advise you that before you engage in such a kind of fitness as we used to represent yoga, and whether you are ready to completely withdraw from worldly problems, whether you can get rid of envy, hatred, anxiety, and such a list can continue indefinitely . And if you realize that you are not ready to embark on the path of teaching, no asanas, even such simple and popular as lotus pose, will help you to comprehend the highest degree of perfection. Talk to yourself, do not lie to your I, and do not pursue fashion!
