About the origin

The basis of karst formation is the dissolving and eroding activity of natural underground waters. It turned out that the Karagiyi depression (practically waterless) is a sort of generator of rain clouds. In summer, under the influence of rising air above it, many kilometers of rain clouds are formed. This is determined by ground-based observations and photographs taken from satellites.

At the bottom of the depression is a small pool and a spring called "Cool" with slightly brackish water, flowing from a once drilled well. Water from it flows down the bottom of the hollow and is lost in its southern part, drowning in the sands. The south-western part is occupied by a drying lake, which is impossible to reach, since it is possible to collapse there.
