The group "Resurrection" is a love that does not end

"Ah," sang the unforgettable Vladimir Semyonovich, "where are my seventeen years old?" They stayed where the "forgotten song carries a breeze ..." And now you're catching yourself in a grunt: and the youth is not the same today, and some songs they have not understood. And you teach your son to listen to the hits performed by the group "Resurrection": "Listen, listen, what solo, solo ..."

For me personally, "Resurrection" is inextricably linked with the name of Constantine Nikolsky, although he appeared in the group only in the late 1980s. However, his songs have been performed almost since the foundation of the collective - since 1979. Andrei Sapunov, who was well acquainted with Nikolsky and his songs, contributed to this. Here is the first line-up of the band's members, proudly named "Rock Band" Sunday ": Alexey Romanov, Sergei Kavagoy, Eugene Margulis, Andrei Sapunov, Sergei Kuzmenok (trumpet, saxophone) joined them in January 1980. The flight was fast, but short-lived: In the fall of 1980 the collective disintegrated.

But the group "Resurrection" did not finish its story. Konstantin Nikolsky, Andrei Sapunov and Mikhail Shevyakov continued to rehearse together. The case decided Nikolsky's phone call to Romanov with the offer to join. The end of 1980 can be considered the second birthday of the "Resurrection".

Sound engineer A. Arutyunov noted this period of the collective's existence as the time of the beginning of serious professional work. Constantine at that time was a student of the Gnesin Musical College, he demanded full rehearsal at the rehearsals. I quote Nikolsky himself: "I played quite a few notes, but it was stylish enough, that's all." And it turned out that any song of the group "Sunday", performed and recorded by this "golden" composition, still does not leave the listener indifferent. Admit it, with all your heart, that something in the chest squeezes and in the throat when you listen to "Night bird" or "In my soul ..."

In the nineties an attempt was made to reassemble the collective in this composition, but it did not succeed. Romanov and Sapunov continued to perform songs of Nikolsky in other groups.

For the first time, I saw Konstantin Nikolsky "live" at a concert in the Sports Palace in Chelyabinsk in the summer of 1987. Then his band was called "The Mirror of the World", but still, coming to the concert, we waited for him from the songs performed by the group "Resurrection". Our expectations were fully justified: we heard "One look back", and "The Musician", and "The Mirror of the World", of course. Walked after the concert on foot in the night city and endlessly shared impressions.

For some reason, there is an opinion that the current youth is not interested in the group "Resurrection". I would not be in a hurry to agree with this. An example from life: on a bike-in-the-road in Irbit, such an aged uncle-biker played acoustic at night near the campfire "My friend, the artist ..." The people gathered around the people about the authorship of the song did not work out, and my son flashed erudition: So this is Nikolsky! " The performer was very surprised: "How do you know?" Yes, it's very simple: if a guy's parents were heard by these songs at the time, then willy-nilly and he was given a love for Nikolsky's works.
