The film "The Widow Steamer": actors and roles

One of the modern Russian paintings dedicated to the Great Patriotic War is the "Widow Steamer". Actors who played a role in this film, embodied the idea of the director.

History of creation

In 2010, the premiere of the film "The Widow Steamer" was held. The actors involved in the shootings are young Russian artists and cinematographers, known to the public since Soviet times. The painting is based on the work of the same name by Irina Grekova.

According to the novel by the Russian prose writer, in 1989 the premiere of the play "The Widow Steamer" was held at the Mossovet Theater . Actors involved in theatrical production:

  • Olga Ostroumova;
  • Elvira Brunovskaya;
  • Tatiana Bestayeva;
  • Galina Dashevskaya.

The director of the film, referred to in this article, is Stanislav Mitin. The film received many positive reviews. Already from the title of the work you can understand that the story is based on the stories of uneasy female destinies. Who played the heroines in the film adaptation of the story "The Widow Steamer"?

Actors

The plot of the picture can be divided into two parts. In the first we are talking about the pre-war times and the years of the Great Patriotic War, in the second - about the life of heroines doomed to female loneliness. The characters of the film are inhabitants of the communal apartment. Each of the heroines is unhappy in its own way.

Olga Fadeeva played the main role. Nina Usatova created on the screen an image of a tight-knit and cunning neighbor. Ekaterina Durova played the role of a wicked and evil woman. Neighbors spend their days in incessant quarrels and disputes. In addition, the elderly exalted person lives in the apartment, who never tires of telling tales of her love affairs, which allegedly took place in the distant past. This heroine was played by Galina Petrova.

And, perhaps, the most tragic image in this film was created by Tatyana Lutaeva. The actress played the role of a woman who lost her husband and daughter during the bombing. The heroine Lutaeva spends days alone, listens to classical music, plays the piano. She, unlike her neighbors, lives only in the past. The pianist does not seek to get rid of loneliness: after the death of a daughter, she will not be able to love anyone anymore.

In the film "The Widow Steamer" male roles were played by Eduard Trukhmenev, Alexander Pashkov.

Before the war

The film deals with the events of 1935-1946. The plot begins with a picture of the New Year's Eve, which takes place six years before the outbreak of the war. Fedor makes an offer to Anfisa, the heroine of Olga Fadeyeva. They are getting married. The events of the pre-war years are shown in passing. The film's characters live in the aforementioned communal apartment. Their lives can be called happy, but they have no children.

There comes a war. Fyodor bids farewell to Anfisa. The girl after a few months, too, goes to the front nurse. For a long time Anfisa is sure that her husband died. So, having met on the front frivolous and windy Grigory, falls in love with him. But the young soldier does not consider it necessary to take responsibility for Anfisa and their child, who should soon be born. The girl returns home to Moscow.

After the war

In the old communal apartment everything is still. Kapitolina and Panka (the heroine of Nina Usatova and Catherine Durova) are in constant squabbles. Ada, played by the actress Galina Petrova, composes stories about her turbulent youth. But in the apartment there were two new tenants. This is a lone pianist Flerova, the heroine of Liutaeva. The second new tenant is a taciturn front-line soldier, who returned home after a severe concussion and settled in the room of the loud-spoken Panka.

Anfisa brings up her son from the "front" husband. She was already used to being alone. The only person with whom she finds a common language is the pianist of Flerov. But one day the husband returns Fyodor. He is somewhat discouraged by the presence of Anfisa's child, but after a short binge decides to start life from a white sheet. Son of Anfisa Fedor brings up as a native. But at some point he begins to visit the room of a lonely pianist more and more often.

Flerova does not want to tolerate oblique neighborly views, and therefore forbids Fedor to visit her. After this event, Anfisa's husband commits suicide.

The film "The Widow Steamer" on the example of the history of five women's fates reveals the theme of loneliness, which so often hardens the soul. In the last episode of the heroine, they celebrate Victory Day. And only on this day in the apartment reign tranquility and mutual understanding.
