In 2000, Robert Zemeek's legendary film "Outcast" was released on wide screens. Actors of any level dream to star in such a great master, but the main role went to Tom Hanks, with him the director worked before. And this decision seems to be the only true after viewing, because there is hardly a person who does not recognize the unconditional talent of the man who played Forrest Gump.

In addition, in the film "The Outcast" the actor also acted as one of the producers of the film, which was awaited by the big success at the box office. First of all, the tape is remembered with its brilliant script and, of course, an excellent composition of performers. The story was based on a sincere and heartbreaking story.

Plot

Events unfolded in the film, willy-nilly refer to Robinson Crusoe. But only in the center of the plot of this picture is an ordinary employee of the delivery service Chuck Noland. The protagonist of the adventure drama "Outcast" (actor Tom Hanks) devotes all his time to work, forgetting about his personal life. One day he sits on a plane that is not destined to reach his destination: he crashed. But Chuck manages to escape, however, the payment for this miracle is imprisonment on a desert island.

This state of affairs is unlikely to cause anyone to panic and hopeless despair. Later, the storm of emotions recedes and clears the place for the survival plan. Left alone, Noland finds time to rethink his own life and the mistakes of the past. However, sooner or later, solitary confinement can drive even a guy with the strongest mentality crazy.

The film "The Outcast": the main actor

The name Tom Hanks is firmly established in the history of American cinema, and the characters played by the actor are forever remembered by spectators of all ages and nationalities. He started shooting in the 70's, which he continues to actively pursue to this day. Over the years, the actor has participated in a variety of projects, but the real fame came to him after the role of Forrest Gump in the film of the same name, which, according to the majority of polls, is among the top three pictures ever shot.

Career Hanks immediately went up the hill, and now the actor is considered one of the most sought-after in Hollywood. In the 90s, the most significant paintings with his participation came out. These include such masterpieces as "Saving Private Ryan", "Apollo 13" and "Green Mile". After the film "Outcast", the actor took part in equally terrific tapes, among which the "Terminal" and "Da Vinci Code" stand out.

Other actors

One of the main advantages of Zemeckis' picture are realistic characters that evoke sincere sympathy. Although in the film "Outcast" actors and roles are represented in very small numbers, they are enough to make the plot saturated.

Chuck's wife was played by Oscar winner Helen Hunt. She can be seen in tandem with Jack Nicholson in "Better Does not Happen", and also with Mel Gibson in "What Women Want".

The series star Chris Knot, familiar to the audience as the dream man Carrie Bradshaw of "Sex and the City", appeared in the image of a dentist who once treated the protagonist, and after his disappearance married his lone wife.

Nick Searcy played on the screen friend of the character Hanks. He became famous, thanks to such films as "Fugitive" and "War", and recently actively withdrawn in popular serials. Although their roles were small in the film "Outcast", the actors in the second plan did an excellent job and brightened up the plot with their presence.

Awards

Robert Zemeckis' paintings were nominated for most famous film awards and won several times. According to critics, the tape about the person stuck on the uninhabited island was far from triumph, especially after the previous creation of the director Forrest Gump. Nevertheless, for the film "Outcast" actor Tom Hanks was awarded many nominations for the best male role. He attended the ceremonies of the Guild of Actors, the British Academy, the MTV channel award, the Oscar and the Golden Globe. But he managed to win only at the last. However, it is unlikely that it was a big omission for the film crew, because the picture collected at the box office more than 400 million dollars, and on the shelf at Hanks in the 90's there were as many as 2 "Oscars". In addition, awards are not of such great value, in comparison with those emotions and feelings that the film aroused in viewers around the world.
