The fascinating underwater world of the oceans

The underwater world of the oceans is hidden from our view. Only an inquisitive and trained person can make a dive and enjoy bright colors and greatness. Diving opens before us a beauty that can impress any imagination. Underwater, a scuba diver gets acquainted with the life of fish, swims among the corals, deepens into mystical caves and finds sunken ships. The underwater realm of each of the four oceans has its own color, and I really want to introduce you to it more closely.

Pacific Ocean

Immersion in the waters of the Pacific promises a lot of unforgettable impressions. This is the largest reservoir of our planet, and underwater inhabitants in it more than 100 thousand species.

The largest representative of these waters is the gray whale of crossbars. The mass of this handsome man is about 35 tons. The habitat is the lower layers of the water. From time to time, huge whales float in shallow bays, usually this occurs during breeding.

The underwater world of the oceans is inhabited not only by peaceful inhabitants, but also by predators. For example, in the Pacific Ocean there is an unusual leopard shark. Many divers, having noticed a predator with an original color, try to be photographed with it. But it can end badly. In a calm state, the leopard shark will not attack, but if the diver is injured by an acute coral or stone, it will react to the smell of blood. The maximum length of such a shark is slightly more than two meters, weight - 20 kg. Small representatives of this species often fall into aquariums or private aquariums of wealthy people.

In the Pacific Ocean you can meet snakes, fish-stone, shellfish, sea urchins. All these representatives provide paralyzing poison, and communication with them can be dangerous for the scuba diver.

In these waters, many small fish, swimming with silvery or motley flocks. Watching their movements is particularly interesting. There are also valuable salmon fish, seals and many other representatives.

Atlantic Ocean

Underwater world of the oceans is interesting to observe in the Atlantic. The second largest reservoir on Earth is divided by the Mid-Atlantic Ridge into two parts. Here lives a lot of fish and mammals. An unusual sight are flocks of flying fish, fish-moon, huge-sized crabs, sea wolf and many other inhabitants.

The underwater kingdom of the Atlantic surprised scientists many times with previously unknown species of fish, worms and jellyfish. Extreme divers can sink to sunken ships, visit the Bermuda Triangle and tickle the nerves, hiding from predatory sharks.

Indian Ocean

Immersion in the waters of the Indian Ocean is like a fairy tale. From the riot of colors and variety of living creatures breathtaking. In the warm waters of the reservoir live the brightest inhabitants of the World Ocean. Here you can find coral fish, parrotfish, giant octopus, sea beauties and multi-colored sea worms.

The unique conditions of the Indian Ocean make its fauna very interesting for observation. Many species of fish and mollusks, representing the underwater world of the oceans, live only here and are not able to survive in other latitudes. However, we must not forget about the dangers that lie in the underwater kingdom.

Arctic Ocean

This pond is considered the smallest of all oceans. His waters are harsh and restless, but even here there is an underwater world. Do not expect a great variety, the main local inhabitants are phytoplankton, kelp, various jellyfish and some kinds of large and small fish. In addition, there are whales.

Very unusual looks giant mussel and the largest jellyfish in the world - cyanide.

Dangerous inhabitants of the depths

Speaking of the danger, almost everyone imagines huge predatory sharks. Deep-sea shark is very dangerous for humans. And you must follow certain rules so as not to become its prey. Scientists know more than 350 species of sharks, but this figure is not final, as unknown representatives continue to fall into their field of vision. Different types of dangerous predators live in the waters of all oceans. The following species are capable of attacking a person:

  • White shark;
  • Blue (blue) shark;
  • fox;
  • Hammerhead fish;
  • Sandy;
  • Brindle;
  • The gray nurse and others.

It should be borne in mind that any shark whose size exceeds 1 meter can be potentially dangerous.

Very dangerous are predatory fish: barracuda, moray eels, large sea bass and so on. It is better for a person not to fall in their way.

Barracuda is called an ocean pike. This predator is found in subtropical and tropical waters. Hunts a pack of fish, very fast, attacks unexpectedly and quickly disappears. The speed of a barracuda during a hunt can reach 60 km / h.

One of the predators, capable of attacking a man, is moray eels. This fish waits in ambush and attacks the victim who has appeared on its territory. And given the size of the predator (some individuals have a trunk length of more than three meters), the damage can be very serious.

Small fish are also a danger. Nature provided them for protection with poisonous thorns, fins and outgrowths.

Unusual, fascinating beauty of the underwater kingdom can not but attract attention. But no matter how hard a person tries, he will never be able to unravel all mysteries and explore this world completely.
