The best melodrama: a feminine look
Melodrama - a special genre of cinema, which has a fairly rich history. Initially, as it follows from the name of the genre, the melodrama was based on music. This was at a time when the term "the best melodrama" meant a new theatrical production, which aroused keen interest of the public. But with the invention of cinematography, the specificity of the genre has changed - now as the basis for melodramatic cinema the psychological crisis of the invented hero is being used, which is torn apart by internal contradictions. The best melodrama must necessarily be accompanied by a highly controversial love story with complex relationships of the main characters. That's why this genre is so popular with the beautiful half of humanity, but melodramas very often serve as a target for critics. Indeed, in melodramatic cinema much can be criticized - the predictability of the storyline, excessive emotional background, the straightforwardness of the main characters, and often the artificiality of problem situations. But, despite all the inherent disadvantages of the genre, among these films there are real masterpieces that deserve the absolute love of viewers and high ratings of critics.
The best melodrama of the new 21 century - the film "Real Love" from the director Richard Curtis. This extraordinary movie, in which several stories are told, they reveal how different this beautiful feeling can be - love. After all, love is childish and adult, mutual and unrequited, stormy or calm, forbidden or permitted, to a person and to memories - all this alphabet of love relationships can be seen in one movie.
