Ten software candidates for the title "The most dangerous virus in the history of the Internet"

Computer viruses can not only prove to be an extremely dangerous thing - they can make such cases, which will not seem to anybody. Of course, even the most dangerous virus for a computer will not launch a nuclear missile, but to disconnect from the Network any small country, for example, South Korea - is his power.

Below we have a unique "history of catastrophes", where negative consequences from the impact of viruses from "deep antiquity" to our days are collected. So, we read about the most dangerous viruses!

1. Commwarrior-A. His attacks on the iPhone users started this virus in the summer. Yes, Commwarrior-A, no doubt, can be christened as the most dangerous virus for cell phones, spreading through text messages. By the way, he is the very first.

2. Welchia was and continues to be the most unusual worm in the history of the Internet, since it was originally developed not for harm, but, on the contrary, for help. Noteworthy is the fact that with the help of Welchia it was supposed to detect a virus program like Blaster. However, the worm behaved extremely unpredictably - it infected all computers, killed the virus, and then destroyed itself.

3. And here is the most dangerous virus Blaster, which was not so terrible, just the mass media gave its existence a lot of attention in due time. The worm was created by the 18-year-old fellow Geoffrey Lee Parson, who managed to detect a hole in the Windows XP protection. The worm wrote out on the screen a funny phrase: "Billy, as possible, enough to make money, better finish your software." For such a mockery of Bill Gates, the court sentenced Geoffrey to a year and a half of the contract.

4. Slammer ("Prison") is a super-fast pervasive computer worm, which for some ten minutes managed to infect 75,000 computers. It is noteworthy that the creator of the virus shoved into its code only about two hundred bytes, nothing more.

5. Nimda is a complex and surprisingly rare combination of a virus, worm and trojan. Among other things, to infect Windows, he used various methods of infection - and e-mail, and various types of contact, and the web server. In this regard, Nimda became famous as the most widespread and most dangerous virus in the world, because already an hour after the introduction, he managed to hit a huge number of computers.

6. Creeper ("Escape"). This is the very first virus for a computer that was written back in 1971. He is known for infecting the computer PDP-11, which belonged to the Ministry of Defense. After the computer was infected, a funny message appeared on the screen of the monitor: "I escaped, you can catch me if, of course, you can."

7. Elc Cloner. This old (1982 writing) virus is the work of Los Cloner, just a high school student. Elc Cloner infected computers through floppy disks - after every fiftieth download, the virus made a screen show a poem written by its talented juvenile creator.

8. Moris Worm was written by Robert Morris when he was a student. He was the first young man who had been imprisoned for abuse and computer fraud. Today in the life of Morris everything looks quiet and smooth - he works in one of the universities as an informatics teacher and, possibly, brings up a new generation of hackers.

9. ILoveYou. This zip virus is very original. And because it caused huge damage to millions of computers, ILoveYou is called just the most dangerous virus in the history of the Internet, since 2000 he managed to infect more than 50 million computers, and in just nine days, and also forced the Pentagon and the CIA to close Their computers.

10. Code Red. This worm is known for having managed to infect 360,000 computers for one July day on a single July day, to attack Microsoft IS servers, which caused a huge number of service problems.
