Syrup "Lazolvan" contains the main substance - ambroxol hydrochloride, there are also auxiliary substances: sorbitol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, benzoic acid, glycerol, tartaric acid, raspberry flavor, and purified water. Syrup "Lazolvan" has the following pharmacological action: it has secretory, secretory and the main expectorant effect. The drug stimulates serous cells of the human bronchial mucosa, significantly increases the release of a substance such as surfactant in the bronchi and alveoli. Corrects the ratio of serous and mucous components of sputum, broken for various reasons. In addition, the drug activates enzymes hydrolyzing and enhances the liberation of lysosomes from cells. The effect of syrup can also be attributed to an increase in the motor activity of the cilia in the ciliated epithelium and the mucociliary transport of sputum is significantly increased. All of the above actions occur approximately half an hour after taking the medicine, and its active effect lasts for almost 12 hours.

Syrup "Lazolvan" has high absorption values, with a maximum concentration of two hours. It has the property of penetrating the blood-brain and placental barrier and excreted in breast milk.
