In 1927, a serious earthquake occurred on the south side of the peninsula. As a result, part of the rock on which the "Nest" stands, collapsed into the waters of the Black Sea. The base of the mountain massif, where the castle rises, has cracked. What threatened the collapse of the whole building. In this position, the castle was 41 years old - until 1968.
