Locking and sealing devices are used to reduce losses in many areas of human activity. For the same purpose, there are sticker-seals, which appeared in very distant times. Traders thus protected their goods, correspondence and various vaults were sealed with something like a sticker. Over time, the materials and technologies have changed somewhat, but the tasks that are put before the seal labels have remained the same.

Classification of seals

You can classify them by the load they carry. A seal can only act as an indicator of a breach of integrity or unauthorized access and there is no force load at all. Such devices are called indicator devices. Such seals are removed with the help of conventional scissors or manually, made of plastic, for example, numbered colored fillings or familiar lead. Protective tapes and labels also refer to indicator sealing devices. That is, the seal stickers indicate whether the protected object was opened. Due to the fact that they are violated irreversibly, it is impossible to restore the integrity of the joint.

Power seals also provide restraint from unauthorized penetration and are opened with the help of special tools, such as metal bolt seals.

Where to apply the seal sticker

Principle of operation and use

The structure of the material from which seal-labels are made for sealing various surfaces includes two layers. Glue, which connects the surface and the label, is much stronger than the thin and sensitive to the effects of the upper indicator layer of the seal.

For the installation, no special preparation of the surface and accessories is required. It is enough to remove the protective substrate and paste the seal at the junction, then smooth it gently so that there are no air bubbles.

The sealing seals may be distinguished by the properties of the adhesive base, which is intended for smooth or rough surfaces, porous or not.

They differ in terms of duration, as they can be used for long-term or short-term use.

Not all stickers-seals are equally resistant to fluctuations in temperature, moisture and the effects of chemical media.

Recently, there were two types of labels for visual visibility. Seals can be opaque and transparent (invisible). On transparent stickers, visible in ultraviolet rays or micro-marks are applied where the protected object can be opened.

There are sticker-seals and the material of manufacture. They can be paper, which are not always used for aesthetic reasons, although they are resistant to random deformations and temperature changes. In addition, paper seals can be easily removed without damage from very smooth surfaces. Thin film stickers are sensitive to high temperatures and physical effects. Combined stickers-seals, which are destroyed when trying to remove them, are more effective. Today there are already metallized stickers that are used in trade for the most expensive goods.

Manufacturing of seal-labels is a certified activity. The certificate of conformity is issued for sealing indicator labels of types P, PS, PS, P, STELS, STELS PRO for different surfaces and different degrees of protection. A separate document is issued to enterprises for the manufacture of antimagnetic seal labels, since they are manufactured according to other normative documentation.

Antimagnetic seal-stickers

Such safety devices are installed on the metering nodes, for example, conventional household electric meters, the indications of which can be changed under the influence of a magnetic field.

Antimagnetic seal-sticker is a plate in the center of which is a protected magnetic capsule, in which the liquid is in the form of a drop. Under the influence of the magnetic field, the drop spreads over the capsule and pollutes its cavity.

Usually, the seal is made with a tear-off element with a number that is also applied to the main part of the sticker. When installing the seal, the tear-off part is pasted into the log.

An antimagnetic sticker, like the usual one, when trying to remove it, leaves a manifest inscription. In addition, it usually carries out slits, which increase the sensitivity to peeling.

The magnetic indicator can be stored indefinitely, but on the whole label the manufacturer gives a guarantee in two years.

Dimensions of the label allow you to install such a seal in a very limited space. It can be used in the temperature range from -60 to + 80 ° C and is usually stable even to oils and seawater.

Numbered seals-stickers

The seal-sticker numbering is usually performed in a sufficiently large range of sizes from a two-layer material. On each product there is an individual number that can not be erased, and an inscription warning about sealing. The number on the label is unique. Firstly, it simplifies the accounting of seals, and secondly, facilitates control, since the number is entered in a special magazine.

The manufacturer can, on request, apply to the stickers not only the number, but also other images, for example, the company logo or bar code, leave special fields for signatures or other information.

Numbered labels are usually made of polymer materials, can be blue or red (they are visible on any surface) or be made in other colors at the request of the customer. Stick them at a temperature above zero, and operate in the range from minus 60 to plus 60 degrees Celsius. For numbered stickers, with which the doors of cabinets and safes are sealed daily, it is important that there are no traces when removing the seal. In extreme cases, they are removed with a damp cloth.

Packed number labels stick rolls of five hundred or a thousand pieces. With their help, office equipment and ATMs, safes and switchboards, commercial equipment, doors of offices and commercial premises, containers are sealed.

Using warranty labels

Guarantee stickers-seals or, as they are called, access control stickers protect against unauthorized penetration into internal elements and components of equipment, household and electronic equipment. They can also protect devices from falsification. To ensure warranty control, they are labeled with various microcircuits, components of mobile phones, auto parts.

Manufacturers or sellers use self-adhesive warranty stickers to identify products or products.

Such sealing devices allow manufacturers to be sure that the buyer has not tried to repair the device or improve the characteristics of the device, and to reduce the costs of servicing and replacing goods that failed due to the fault of consumers.

The top part of the warranty stickers is made of paper, film or foil, sensitive to external influences. A durable glue base does not allow you to detach the sticker from the surface, so it can only be destroyed without the possibility of recovery.

Usually the warranty seals bear the manufacturer's logo and a warning about the termination of the warranty if the integrity of the label is broken.

Guarantee stickers in operation can withstand a high temperature of up to one hundred degrees, so that there is no temptation for folk craftsmen to remove the sticker by heating it. However, in any case, fix the sticker to its original place still will not succeed.
