Spinning rods: varieties and purposes

Spinning is most often used to catch a predator. It consists of a coil, a rod with rings and a tooling. There are different gears.

On the device spinning rods are divided into heavy two-handed (length about 4 m, throwing with two hands), and lighter one-handed (length about 2.5 m, throwing with one hand). All rods must be light and elastic. They are made of carbon fiber, bamboo, light metal, composite, fiberglass, as well as various compositions of these materials. Spinning rods can also be monolithic (shorter, for catching from a boat) and hollow (longer, for catching from the shore).

Handles for spinning are made of materials such as cork, plastic, wood, leather or porous rubber. At the end of the handle, there is usually a knob. The most popular are cork handles, because they are pleasant to the touch and do not slip. The end and handle of the tackle must be balanced against each other. On the handles of old models are located clamping rings for the coil. However, modern spinnings have instead of rings a reel seat with a clamping nut.

On the rod are the rings, which are made of strong and light modern materials - quartzite, steel, porcelain and others. Spinning is multicolored and one-knit. There is a telescopic and plug connection of the knees.

The single-rods are of four rings, and multicolored - at least seven. Rings serve to pass the fishing line along the entire length of the rod. This protects the line from wear, reducing the load on it and the rod. A precisely selected number of rings for a particular rod makes it much more sensitive. There are also Bologna and marker spinning rods.

The marker rod allows you to thinly feel the bottom relief due to a special level of elasticity and stiffness. Such spinning rods are used for catching a predator in water bodies with a complex bottom structure.

Bolognese rod is an ordinary telescopic fishing rod, which folds comfortably, which greatly facilitates its transportation. Such gears are most often made of carbon fiber, which makes them easier. Such spinning rods are used for fishing in water bodies with a small current. Bolognese rod of great length allows better control of spinning movements.

Spinning rods are also parabolic (slow), medium and fast. Parabolic gears are soft, and fast builds are stiff. It all depends on the materials from which the spinning is made. Also, there are universal spinning rods equipped with an additional number of knees of different rigidity. A very important parameter is the length of the rod. After all, the longer it is, the farther the cast. The strength of the rod is also a significant parameter. For its measurement, there is a test curve, the values of which are usually written by the manufacturer in the attached instruction or on the handle of the tackle.
