In fact, sling is a very convenient device for carrying a baby, which allows mother to free her hands and feel quite mobile. There are many types of slings, but one of the most popular is the sling with rings (SSC), which is a piece of fabric about 2 meters long (plus or minus) and a width of 60-70 cm, on the one side of which are sewn rings with a diameter of 5-7 cm.

Sling with rings can be used from the newborn period. It is very convenient to feed crumbs, both at home and in a crowded place (if you cover the baby with the free end of the scarf, then the surrounding people will not notice anything). SSK will make mom very mobile and will not depend on the work of the elevator, the weight of the stroller and the availability of assistants for its descent and climbing the stairs (after all, a woman after birth is strongly advised not to lift weights). If the youngster does not want to fall asleep on its own, the SSC will save mum from prolonged motion sickness and will make it easier to lay the baby. You just put the crumb in the sling in the "cradle" position (lying down) and start moving around the apartment. In this case, you can give the baby a breast - so he will calm down and fall asleep more quickly. And when the child finally calm down and leaves in the arms of Morpheus, he can be carefully placed on the bed and covered with the free end of the sling. To do this, the mother needs to loosen the fabric in the rings a little, bend down and lower the baby on the bed (sofa), and then carefully remove the sling through the head. It is very easy to make a sling with rings with your own hands - you need to choose the scarf of the necessary length, cut in half and sew the rings. However, you need to decide what to do with the second half of the scarf (sell, sew one more SSC for yourself, or sell it, or make a May sling or a backpack of scarf fabric). You can also make a sling with your own hands from any natural fabric (or fabric with minimal addition of synthetic fibers) - calico and flax for the summer, jeans and corduroy for the cold season. You can make a sling with rings and a regular calico, but in this case it is better to make it double, because this fabric does not have high strength. For the first months of life, the SSK from tight jersey or fleece is suitable.

How long can I use a sling with rings? Everything depends on the endurance of the mother and on how long she can bear the child on one shoulder.
